theres an econolodge close ish to the convention center with cheap rooms still open, i suggest getting one of those early if you want to save cost.

edit- adam says some ticketing sites keep cookies on your computer so flight prices go up as youre hesitant to buy them. he says you should clear your cookies cache browser history and try again

Also be aware that prices tend to go up depending on the day. Tuesdays are usually when airlines have lowest fare compared to the week.

I realized this already. It was after I already started the uncancelable transfer of money from my paypal to my bank, which I had no idea it would take 3-4 business days™ until it was started. We are going in circles at this point

Come on DF, it can't be worst than me.
It is different since it is my entire fault but ...
I'm going to Japan next week and wanted to book a flight from Okinawa to Kagoshima (south of Japan), I already used 2 differents websites to pay for other flights (the one to Japan and the one to Okinawa) and when I selected the dates for those two, the selection started on AUGUST. Since the last one I wanted to take was in septembre, I selected the next month and bought the ticket ...
But this ****ING WEBSITE didn't start on august but on SEPTEMBRE the month NEXT to the current one. WHY ?! I have to go BACK if I want to tack a ticket for the end of the current month ? I payed ****ING 200€ (~250$ I'd say) on tickets I won't be able to use since they are for OCTOBRE. I'M A ****ING MORRON.

That being said, I received a mail that said "We still need you to confirm your seat and your reservation, if you don't do this before the 22th, you're flight will be canceled" so there is still hope ... And sent an email to the company who said "You cannot cancel, and you've already paid. **** off" but I still didn't received any confirmation of payment e-mail ... So I will call the company this after noon (I couldn't call yesterday, when I bought THOSE ****ING USELESS TICKETS coz it was like 2am in Japan) and ask my bank not too give payments to the company (I know it is bound to fail, but don't want to lose that much money ...)

So yeah, pretty pissed off about myself right now.
