Find a character with a ton of options that you can grow into. For me technical characters are pretty enjoyable due to their tight gameplay (also one of the reasons Squirtle feels kind of bad to me. He's technical but slippery af).

Have you tried Squirtle, PSI kids, Fox, Wolf, Lucario, Diddy? You'll have to put in some work for them but they're enjoyable

Sooooo, My Castle in Fire Emblem IF.

It is mostly just an expanded Base from the Tellius games which is cool.

But with the addition of some absolutely hilarious stuff. (ROFL at the whole Fire Emblem Amie thing going on, oh my god xD.)

I almost had a double zero to death come back at 100% to take the set, my wrists started to go crazy and I dropped the edgeguard, got roy fsmashed trying to roll from ledge, and then i droped out of the tourney (still dont feel comfortable playing, realized it mid set ). Wish I had my almost come back recorded though, the combo was amazing and started from a z drop>grab tick setup on shield.

I've decided I'm going to buy Squid Kids. Despite the day one DLC and lack of content.

I think there's something wrong with my decision making process.

You know there's not much content.

There is no day 1 dlc. Amiibo just open up challenge map versions of the story missions that let you do them with charger/roller instead of splattergun, and are either time attack w/ kraken or limited ink for the squid. They give out exclusive gear but only in how it looks, all gear can be upgraded to have more than 2 slots

edit: also the ranked battles arent an update, they were just inactive until the splatoon team flipped a switch because there was no download

Ah I was mistaken then. I assumed the amiibos unlocked exclusive single player maps and weapons. To be fair though, I would consider this day one DLC since it easily could have been included in the final product. (even if it is rather inconsequential) It's just not anywhere as blasphemous as most day one dlcs.

Then there would be no point to the amiibos giving game bonuses

And then they're just figures, but all of the amiibos are supposed to have some interaction with games and it would be weird if they only had that with smash

but on the other, i can go to a chinese cartoon convention, meet up with my waifu, and see a lot of furries and loser ass nerds
