klefki is god damn amazing though
in general gen 6 pokemon are great. they even made the generic rodent that needs to pop up once a gen into a pokemon that's both incredibly useful AND incredibly fun

That's fair; I honestly don't hate any Pokemon, except for maybe Jiggs, but that's because of Smash. Sawk and Throh just always struck me as "Could have been Hitmon-somethings." And I never really liked their designs. and also Alomamola. (Why the **** wasn't it a Luvdisc evolution?)I like literally all of the ones in this post, so these comparisons are lost on me.
And yes, I like Sawk and Throh solely because of...this.
One of the very few things I liked about Best Wishes.
...I think I just threw up a bit in my mouth. What the hell goes on in your head, Sakurai?!http://wiiudaily.com/2015/02/sakurai-smash-online-balance-patches/
"Having everything be totally fair would boost the competitive aspect, but runs the chance of it no longer being about playing a game."
...I don't even have a witty retort for this.
Just...what?
I swear, I will never understand this guy's way of thinking.
Dr. Mario takes the most skill out of any character and this is the truth. I mean him because bragging rights and hes ****ing badA as ****.
Gen 1 certainly has it's fair share of dumb pokemon. Voltorb and its evolution are incredibly lazy. Exeggutor is a three-headed palm tree that... evolves from eggs? Porygon is computer code that exists in the physical world? How about a rock?
I mean even Ken Sugimori thinks he should make the designs less complex in Gen 7; so I'm expecting more of a Gen1-2 feel. Natural progression/regression of art, I suppose. This image still rings true for me in terms of Pokemon designs.
It's funny because the exact same thing he said would happen, happened in project M during the transition from 3.0 to 3.5Being able to patch the game this time around allows us to adjust the balance anytime we want. However, if we took the balance feedback we pick up from online stats and certain hardcore fans at face value, that could make the game less fun and/or destroy the balance. We attempt to maintain a wide dynamic range with the balance, so I feel like we need to watch that we don’t over-adjust in a negative direction, like cutting down abilities or trying to have all characters playable on an equal basis. Having everything be totally fair would boost the competitive aspect, but runs the chance of it no longer being about playing a game. Mediocrity would be the worst thing for this.
They traditionally are, gotta protect the virgin Samurai Nintendo sama from the evil competitive Reich. Seriously though this idiocy is leaking from Smash/Nintendo into other games and even tangible aspects of life, is our generation really so terrified of success, achievement, and being actual human beings that they feel the need to lash out against those who have found something they care for, took the time to learn about, or god-forbid excel at. Or maybe the vocal minority of stupid people has just been booted into the spotlight via social-media, probably both, I should stick to lurking. The best part is in the comments a casual has more elitism than a competitive player.
Ayy Lmao
Oh if only Stealth Rock didn't hit it. It would still be a nice surprise in ubers since some ubers can't touch it.I'm hearing Pokémon discussion and I raise you all a Shedinja
What other Pokémon is a discarded husk of another one and is immune to most attacks
a skilled Roy can beat any Meiling in the worldgot 4th place today losing to a bladewise and a roy player
Custom music in the netplay build sounds like a bad idea for all the peeps that stream and don't like getting muted :|Please vote: http://strawpoll.me/3676295
There's no option for "I always turn off music anyway". Pretty much everyone I've played with does (and I do too, admittedly). Please vote: http://strawpoll.me/3676295
Pretty good point. If we we're doing custom music I'd definitely go with VG remixes only, no copyrighted songs at all. There's always the option of muting the sound and playing your own music.Custom music in the netplay build sounds like a bad idea for all the peeps that stream and don't like getting muted :|
No, this will never be included in the official build.Let's vote on songs for all builds, the way it is set up now pretty much requires you to add your own soundtrack for every new version.
If you're going to turn off music anyways, please vote No because that makes the filesize significantly smaller.Voted Yes because the default music on most of the viable stages sucks and/or should be replaced by much better choices.
Although gonna second Binary on the whole turning music off thing.
get bodied nerd
