Another video that is more in depth of the Olimar vid.

Well it looks like doubles in smash 4 threatens to be more broken than any other smash games' doubles options.
Though to be honest, I question the viability of doubles in smash 4; 3 stock doubles dragged on for quite some time and lowering the stock would destroy the concept of tanking stocks and sharing stocks....

Well I hope the smash 4 community is willing to experiment with their rulesets cause this current ruleset is too slow and not spectator friendly.
I hope so as well but I don't think smash 4 isn't gonna be spectator in general unless there is some storylines and crazy stuff happening sometime soon also doubles for any smash game has been generally hard to follow.

Well... still losing in Marvel but I definitely improved since I last played online.
I'm lasting longer, I'm not as helpless in the corner, and I'm doing slightly better in neutral.
Matches are also much closer.

In other news, I'm playing Zelda 2 once more and holding left and right simultaneously causes hilarious things to occur. Easy to do if you're using the GC controller like I am.

So I was planning on going to McSmashter with some friends but we had a falling out and now I'm going with Vwins, Kage and another ranked Montreal player, and we apparently might be staying with KirbyKaze.

I'm going to bring the average skill of that household down so hard lmao

If the game is degenerate enough that turning off interactions with your partner is the only way to fix it, maybe doubles just shouldn't be a thing for smush, and instead players should focus on developing other unique modes of play, or just ban things idk.

It wasn't enabled in previous titles because of the ridiculous things you can do (many of them arguably more obscene than the exploits In SmUsh), my point was simple. If team attack is being considered worse for the game ON than OFF, then something has changed dramatically. Whether that means it should just be toggled or that doubles has too many issues to be a viable game mode remains to be seen, but with customs and the possibility to balance out obscenities through bans or having more players who knows /shrug. If the purpose of your point was to stand alone and be quoted as if it somehow addresses the issue perfectly, why did you make it?

I suppose the metagame will revolve into throwing safe hitboxes until you slowly encroach the stage and push the other team off then. If team attack is turned off then (red team) + (red team) | (blue team) + (blue team) will become even stronger because you can send hitboxes or projectiles to help your partner open the opponent up.

Have you played 2v2 online for Brawl or Smash 4?

Productive as always I see, by the way I agreed with your feeling that team attack toggled doubles should be tried alongside other, more traditional, solutions. I also fail to see exactly what in smUsh has changed enough to keep grab infinites (via being pummeled in grab), character-stacking spam (double marth walls etc.), and other such things from being a serious issue (besides exploits and other degenerate options which are creating the entire concern in the first place (see my actual point for details)). Anyway look forward to your third quote, actually doesn't that technically count as spamming?

no he didn't? saying "maybe we could just ban characters instead" isn't a good reason as to why team attack should be on

I've personally always felt that the whole "if team attack is off, people can infinite you with grabs" thing doesn't make sense as a criticism - if your teammate is still alive, they should be able to prevent that, and if they aren't, then yeah sorry you're open to two people wailing on you, them's the breaks? ? ?

also character stacking should be banned in doubles in every smash game
