I've yet to drink enough to get drunk and I had a whole bottle of captain Morgan and Malibu last night.

Should I consult a scientist?

I believe the more healthy alternative is to see how far you can go.

As long as your blood alchohol level is below .8, you aren't trying hard enough. (and no, I don't mean .08)

I guess someone has to be the designated driver of PMDT :)

Guys, I've obviously shown myself to be so positive for the community! I can make you eSports! You guys shouldn't mudsling! 3 thousand Smite players will suddenly take interest in your unconventional fighting game!

He either doesn't understand what happened here, or thinks that we are too dumb to have noticed.

Edit: Also, props to Smashboards for covering controversial stuff, thats a tough decision to make.

This is why I don't do tech skill drills every day anymore. My hands already have problems, and I know too many smashers personally who have ****ed up hands already from smash.
How is it that smashers Melee Fox Users are the ones having hand injuries yet I rarely, if ever, hear about such a thing happening from those who play traditional fighters?

Since a lot of them are using arcade sticks, using your whole hands is generally more comfortable for extended play then using a couple fingers, mostly your thumbs. Your hands are also resting most of the time on arcade stick, whereas they're holding the controller the whole time in Smash.

You may want to have your liver checked out, as you seem to no longer have one. Also I feel your lag pains, I can't deal with lag at all, I subconsciously abandon all techskill and wander around like a lost puppy. However it was always kind of fun when older fps games had terrible connections because you could just shoot down a hallway, walk off, and get a kill ten seconds later.

I can't tell if @SpiderMad is the Wise One Who Knows All or if he's just insane
He's gone insane from all the smash knowledge

Also happy new year to everybody, may your techskill be on point, your seed generous and your bracket easy.

I just listened to like the first 1:40 of the MegaMan 2 HoH remake

It's disgusting, no epicness to the feel of the music at all :/

I just got home from my New Years party. (Or parties since I technically went to 3) Boy id I kick off the new year with a big fun bang. XD

So I started off at one friend's house with another buddy I knew and 4 people I didn't know at all and played a little bit of Nintendoland for the first time and managed to be the worst ghost ever in Luigi's Mansion, then we went over to another friend's place with her boyfriend, another very close girl friend and a big fat funny guy. Oh and some annoying Asian dude that was the close friend's new boyfriend that for some reason had a huge interest in me while he was brick red drunk. I played Cards Against Humanity for the first time which came with a plethora of ****, ****, *****, ass, **** and sex jokes and black jokes, either to my expense or mostly to my advantage when Shaft was involved. I burned and trolled lots of people, watched one of the girls get drunk off her ass and say random **** while somehow becoming infinitely more capable and intelligent at the same time, kissed my close friend in front of her drunk boyfriend a few times which led him to make out with our group's token gay guy to compensate then proceeded to hit on him for the rest of the night to the point of getting my friend's permission to cheat on her with him, thus leaving her to cuddle with me the rest of the night with the drunk girl snuggling in for some love as well. Went to the other girl's place with the others where we hooked up a Wii U and I finally got to play Smash 4 Wii U for the first time ever and used my Classic Controller Pro since we didn't have a Gamecube Controller Adapter at the time, but that didn't stop me from having the time of my life. 8 Player Smash is hectic and confusing but fun as hell and when some people dropped out and it was only 3 of us, we had matches team matches against either 5 Falcons, 5 Dongs, 5 Edges, The Mac Attack or the Pac Attack. Otherwise, we did normal Smash together and I pretty much tormented and slaughtered everyone most of the matches since I had been playing Smash 3DS the whole night before we started and then imported my Brawler over tot he game or tore them up with Lucina, Falcon, Ganon, The Edge, or The Doc. We let the Event Matches kick out butts a bit and then went over to Hyrule Warriors for a few hours which was an absolutely fantastic little adventure for me. I played as Sheik and Impa and I love using them both. Unfortunately, the CCPro apparently doesn't with the game, so I had to use the Wiimote while the others used the Gamepad. It was still fun enough, though. Then finally, we played Super Mario 3D World and cussed each other out thoroughly since we all refused to work together except for a few cases where we actually were thinking the same thing. Everything was fine until one asshole kept complaining about how things about the game were dumb and boring, this being someone who doesn't play a lot of Mario (The now sober Asian dude) and kept trying to do things he wanted and wondered why we all kept dying and why we got mad at him. We still got pretty far despite that though. Then one buddy needed to go and we all decided it was time to wrap it up and head home since we kicked off the New Year with a blast and here I am now.

And that's pretty much my past 24 hours. Happy New Year everybody!

After all of that, I think I'm gonna just kick back, relax and watch SGB's last part of Tales of Symphonia.

Who was the one here that liked 80s Japanese pop, again?

My friend was listening to this and I happened to overhear it, and I love this song. It reminds me of an 80s Japanese post-disco song. The intro is really good, then it goes to this slower part which is really lame, then after 1:22 it sounds good. The RWBY vocalist actually does pretty good on this song; she sounds decent when she's not straining her voice like on some of the other songs she does.

wait skullgirl's combo system is so dumb what

like why does the damage that moves do decrease over the period of the combo
like why when I have a 3 hit combo ending in a blockbuster do more damage than a 20ish hit combo ending in the same blockbuster because of the damage decay

all are traditional fighters like this

Hmm....
Guess Fox players better get GC Arcade sticks then.

I only use pad mainly for 3d games such as Tekken and Soul Calibur cause those games favor pad actually. Haven't sat down and learn a NRS fighter yet but I heard those favor pad as well.

Sounds about right lol. Also finding the right hand and grip position helps as well.

Damage scaling has always been a thing, though it varies from game to game. Skullgirls has scaling all over the place though because of combo and team ratio scaling.

The reason why people do long combos is simple: they build a ton a meter, so by the time you finish the combo, you've already broke even for the meter you just spent, plus a little extra. You might sacrifice damage in the short term, but in the long term you'll be able to do more damage later because you'll have more meter to play with. And that doesn't count the other benefits you get (Alpha Counters, Snapbacks, Faultless Defense, etc).

Yes but this has always taken place in fighting games. Different games have a different decay. Another thing you have to remember is how many characters you have and the other person has. You do way more damage with a solo character than one character whose part of a three character team in SG.

Pretty much. You can play NRS games with a stick but the inputs for specials are really simplified so it is easier to play on a pad. Injustice does have an alternative control mode where you need to do half quarter circles instead of down, forward for specials.

as others have said, yeah, that's pretty normal. some games also have prorating based on the move you used to start the combo, so super safe, fast moves give less damage on a combo than starting it with hard read style moves. don't know if skullgirls uses that, as well, though.

The solution Is to just play solo fortune. Damage out the ass, once you get in mixups for days
I know she's mid tier now but damn, top tier fun, top tier cat gril.

I'm trying to learn fukkua because she's hype too, but playing Skullgrills is hard on pad. Playing 2 is sorts pointless, gotta go for 3, but thats 3 characters to learn instead of one >.>

I'm playing solo filia now because lol I'm a talentless scrub

but idk having two seems to be fine like maining filia and then having big band in for assists seems to be the ideal also because I really want to learn big band because he's hilarious

but then I have to learn how assists work ****

I wish Skullgirls was more popular, once you get over the weeb waifu fanbase it is actually a very fun game to see in action. And the new characters are all awesome, even a joke character like Fukua. Beowulf is hype.

Too bad Lab Zero doesn't have enough money to bribe Evo with to get it a spot, organization seems as corrupt as FIFA.
