i like sheik so i was like **** it let's try samus, and i'm trying to figure things out and it's like... yeah okay sure. and then i tried MK and it was like playing jesus with a sword despite knowing nothing about the character. i have no idea how one goes about playing ZSS, she has holes everywhere. she's like ike except actually fun (ike is only fun if your opponents are significantly worse than you lol).

Universal Brawl mechanics serve to make every character better in the transition from Melee to Brawl to at least some degree.
Fox being easier to play is actually pretty significant because of how technically demanding he is, and the difficulty that comes with needing to be consistent when playing him. It just takes less stamina to do so in PM.
New stages in general tend to favor Fox as well.

Being easier is significant, very significant, but that's for now, I don't consider it a factor unless PMBR decide to get lazy and stop working in mechanics and what-not, but i do get the stages, especially places like Warioware

Yeah, I wasn't too clear myself on what keeps people playing Fox and Falco with all of the changes happening around them. I'm not saying that to mean "Why do you play Fox/Falco when there are these OTHER characters available", I'm saying, how do you adapt to that? What keeps you in the Fox/Falco game with everything around you changing so much, and your character (provided you play Fox/Falco) remaining mostly the same?

...if that make sense.

Idk about other spacie mains, but i keep on playing them simply bc of their technical demand (not so much falco) hell nowadays the only reason i still boot up melee is to use fox/falco/falcon, plus i like new challenges, believe it or not fighting against the same 8 characters gets a little stale, especially if you other options like PM, oh and shine

Maybe if you stop doing back jump Fair with Ike... It'll be fun. =P

Yeah I mirror what Kage is saying. You have to work pretty hard to be safe and impose your will on your opponents with Ike or ZSS, but it certainly is possible for them to compete.

MK is just Jesus with a sword, no doubt.

This part made me sad .

Anyway, there was a small PM tournament in St. Louis that featured Hylian, Vista, Darkatma, and me. The format was 10-man round-robin into a 3-man bracket, with 2nd and 3rd seeds playing out Losers Finals and the winner of that playing 1st seed for Grand Finals. Yeah Oracle I really don't like them much either, it's kinda like Sheik dittos with chain grabs, but instead it's tech chases. It's pretty clear who is the better MK when you play, but it doesn't make it more enjoyable.

In general flavored chips are pretty whack... as is basically anything trying to replicate flavors of other foods...Actual chicken and waffles can go together very well when done right. Then again I'm sure your idea of comfort food is very different than what you would find in soul/southern American cooking.

Nah I randomly made that my name for the account and I couldn't find a way to change it. My friend recently tried Melee on Dolphin on a i7 Mactop, ran at 40fps while my i3 $250 laptop runs it at 60. I think it's because the 3dsomething graphics drivers won't work for Mac, so I think his only option is to try and dual-boot a Windows partition (or virtualbox maybe) on it. Even my capture device I was thinking of bringing doesn't work for Mac, I don't know why people buy Apple.. or hate the light press air dodge. I used to own one, I gave it up for a windows tablet, which I promptly installed windows 8 on
like or hate the OS, it's the only windows OS that can do touch properly and I want a tablet for more than just music/games/reading books/internetting all in forced formats

hardware is perfect, probably lower quality than my old iPad but I give zero ****s, I like being in charge of my computing experience rather than have apple do it for me

Edit: Fortress I didn't see your question. I wouldn't buff Fox at all. I personally think he is better than Melee already. I think there is more hate in PMBR convos for directions that Brawl characters get taken towards rather than Melee character ports tbh haha.
