I was close to being BatMad, as my friend suggested that and SpiderMad and he even felt Batmad was better. But I felt Batman had too many dumb memes, and like Spiderman more. This was when I needed a Smashmods account, but Mad is of/c taken: which is the tag I got after registering Wifi for the first time (on PM 1.0) and heard it was laggy so I had to choose a tag and went with Mad since I thought I'd hate the lag.

I can't tell exactly what you want. What level are your friends at, especially to the point that explaining them stuff seems complicated? A lot of the PM stuff is often more character specific, and lots of the global new stuff matches or close to matches Brawl and Brawl's videos. I mean linking you more Melee and Brawl tutorial videos would pry help them the most: but I can give you a general summary for PM.

DACUS is like Brawl but harder (and Buffered DACUSes now don't exist even with Buffer added back), AGT's are like Brawl but now you pick a direction using Melee's AD (Control stick move direction, C-stick throw direction), B-reversals window was increased from Brawl from 2 to 3 frames to make it easier, RAR is the same, Brawl Pivots are the same, weird Brawl tricks often still exist

It's not so much that explaining is complicated, but that they spend more of their time discussing the game via typing on Skype where it's not as easy to explain how something works and demonstrate it to them. Most of the time when we get together, it's to fight and not practice, though that's starting to change lately.

That's certainly a lot of useful information to look through though. I'll look through and see what will be useful for them to know and what isn't as necessary atm. Thanks for going through all the trouble, as I wasn't sure where to begin in finding ATs in PM to start them on. I think there used to be an AT thread somewhere around here, but I couldn't find it.

You can do instant AGTs forward/diagonally up/down and catch them. hard out of short ups, try it out of full hops. You can also do a sh popgun>wl forward>dash>wavedash to catch it.

What situation do you want RAR in? for approaching yeah RAR is better. short distances moonwalks take too long, do pivots or shield pivot bairs

dont waveshine every time, but do it when you feel you need it. waveshine behind thier shield is good if they dont predict it and bair you OoS

ummm... DJCing? its really stronk, you get to the ground faster, shield pressure, combos, etc.

god my sleep schedule is so ****ed up
Didn't sleep from wednesday morning(3 hours)>saturday at 6 am, slept 12 hours, now I'm still tired but cant fall asleep and **** its messed up.
At least I played well at the melee weekly friday, broke a falcon's shield and low% four stocked a new guy in fox dittos. Didn't place too well, got like 9th out of 22 (I blame that on lack of good decision making due to lack of sleep) but when I did get in I felt I was actually doing things well lol

Labing with PM is so interesting, its crazy how with de-bug mode and people to lab/bounce ideas off of how much improvement you can make. I honestly feel like I'm playing so much better and smarter than I did before, although a lot of that is from Melee practice. I think if I could have played like this at the beginning of 3.02 I could have made our PR when it was still free. I can feel it though, I really want to get to that level. I think I'm getting there, just need to get a better understanding of neutral ( I think I'm really really close to everything just clicking and making perfect sense) and then learn MU's in and out.
