That's looking fairly awesome. It has a few inaccuracies that I think would be fairly easy to fix, though. I'd be willing to take a look at tweaking it a bit if you or Codex don't wish to do so.
Examples: The collar doesn't have the little extra gold bit like Eliwood's does. Gold trim on shoulders should be silver. The ends of the sleeves should be a little different. The gold trim at the bottom of the coat should be a bit thicker, and have a pattern to it. And a couple other really small texture tweaks. The headband design is all wrong, but that's more of a model thing, and I'm still new to that, so if I do this, I probably won't do much with that part. Eliwood also actually has a second, somewhat darker, coat underneath his blue one, I might have an idea for how to do that, but it might be a really bad one.
I made some changes to the model and textures. How does it look now? http://imgur.com/a/xMpEy

I added the extra gold bit to the collar, changed the color of the shoulder pad trim to silver, made the ends of sleeves more accurate to the artwork, made the gold trim on the bottom of his coat thicker and gave it a pattern, added the double coat with the inside being darker, and I added the dark blue undershirt. Also, could you get a good picture of how Eliwood's head band design should look like? I looked at the sprites and art work for FE 7 and I cant find anything good as a reference.

Hey @ MagicManNo9 MagicManNo9
Could you be possibly saving Ice climbers for their 30th anniversary date ?
Be a cool way to introduce them seeing how Nintendo probably won't care :'I
Keep up the good work as always.
You know! I shall actually do that I think! Just because the date is so close!

And thanks! I'll keep working on the build as much as I can!

Gotcha, I'll keep an eye out for that! I managed to find a Knuckles Sonic like yours, but sadly it crashed ingame. I also found a pack for Ness that includes a villager shirt, a Megaman shirt and blue getup, and a Little Mac themed shirt and color scheme in case that interests you. Can't link it because this account is fresh but it's Vibrant Ness by Shun_One
Ohhh yes, gotta thank oNITESkye for the fix! I just need to tweek a few things here and there, my main reason for not releasing costumes is mainly because I need to re-create the CSPs/BPs for them, after learning some tricks in modeling I'm also going to re-work on some of my old costumes!

(Ash Pikachu's Eyes for example, I need to re-do the normals around the eyes, it's something that happens whenever you export a model, luckily I learnt how to!) As well as various little things I need to fix up! I'll make it a target to release costumes on a daily basis I think!

I'll look into that Ness! Shun was the one who made that you say? Shall look into it by asking when I get back from work me thinks!

Disregard post
I'm now curious on what this post was!

Dude, i made a knuckles sonic and its pretty good so far. I found one on BV and it crashed.
Ahh that one is made for Brawl from my understanding! Which is why I'll release a PM version with the build!

Ohh Wowzers Grape Mewtwo LOL...
It's actually an inside joke from the Smash 3 team! Love Grape themed costumes so much more now~

OMG i can't wait '-'
Time to go all out!

Don't mean to sound like I'm showing off anything in your thread but would you like to use a Eliwood cosplay for Roy that I made by mixing the PM Roy model and the Eliwood model on BrawlVault for your build? I have a couple of images of it for you to see if you're interested.
I have been looking all over for a costume like this! I remember the reason I didn't include it was because the costume was slightly bigger and whatnot, still oNITESkye did some nice stuff with his alt! And yes! I'm extremly interested if you can PM me that'd be fantastic man!

Some really good points! I can help with working on/updating textures when I'm free! Been looking for a really good Roy Alt for a while now! Only found 3 (Including your Lord Roy) so this would be perfect!

Well, hello gorgeous Roy alt.
Awwww Yeahhhh~~~

I made some changes to the model and textures. How does it look now? http://imgur.com/a/xMpEy

I really like this, like, so much for an alt! An old saying I say is that every little detail helps! Thanks for linking this, you've got me hyped right now! Even moreso than I already am right now!

And with all my replies I must sleep right away, night everyone! Have a good one and I shall return!

If you're changing Roy's alts any, AlGeorgeRomo just made an Isaac-themed Roy (can't link, sorry), and I personally like it. Just a suggestion. ^^;

I might consider it! Lots of possibilities now! I was considering making a themed one myself funny enough!

Oh, nice! I personally would have done some of those things a little bit differently, but what you did is pretty good, too! (If you're up to it, I could detail some of what else I'd do, but it's mostly really minor things because I'm incredibly nitpicky. Or, I could do some of it myself sometime.)
Regarding his headband... I'm not sure, really. His hair typically covers it up pretty well. I've always thought his was more of a thin crown rather than a wide headband, but I'd never actually taken a super close look at it before. Turns out, it may be a headband after all: http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091026021413/celestial-refresh/images/6/65/Eliwood_image.jpg
You can't see it very well, but this is the best view of it I'm finding. Not even finding much fanart with a decent view of it, for whatever value that would hold. I guess I'd probably just remove the pattern on the headband, and make it just a solid yellow... headband. Keep the ridge on the edges, though.

What would you have done differently or changed with this? I'm still sending this tomorrow (off PC Atm) to you and Codex but I'd like to know what changes you two would make.

The little gold bit on his collar is a little too high up and a little thick looking, the toe seam on his boots should be closer to the tip of the boots, the boots should have the central seam going along the whole length. The dark inner coat should be a little bit shorter than the outer coat, and the bottom trim on it should not be the extra thick style, it should be the same thickness as the vertical trim. I'd probably remove the pattern from the vertical trim, or at least make it a lot ore subtle. The highlights on the lower trim might be a bit bright. The lower trim should have a thin little subtrim type thing on the top of it. The pattern on the sleeve cuffs looks good, but should probably be compressed a bit so it's not quite as elongated - more squiggles of shorter length. I'd also add the gold trim to both sides of the sleeve cuffs. It looks like it's there a little bit on the top part of the cuff, but it looks like it fades into the rest, and is a bit thin. I'd maybe make the seams on the front-sides of the coat a bit more prominent, they're pretty noticeable in Eliwood's art, but pretty faint here. That may be a bit of a stylistic thing, though.

My unrealistic expectations would also make me wish to see the shoulders made a bit rounder instead of flat on top and pointed on bottom. And the belt buckle. The sleeves as a whole would look a bit better if they were a bit baggier, and slightly shorter, to show the dark undersleeve things a bit more. The collar could poof out a bit more. If that causes a bit of clipping or something, eh, it already clips with his chin anyway, as seen in picture 2.

Hmm.
In theory, replacing his sword with Durandal would be pretty awesome, but that might be pushing it a bit. It would still make sense with all the fire in his moves, though, as both of those swords are capable of such things.
I found a mod on Brawl Vault with a Durandal model, but the quality is somewhat on the lower end of the spectrum. He could keep the Sword of Seals, after all, it is still Roy doing cosplay, and not Eliwood himself.

I made some more changes based off of your suggestions, I didn't do all them though mostly because of model oddities or because they required total remodeling. Gallery here: http://imgur.com/a/9yhNE

Changelist:
I removed the detail from the vertical trim
made the horizontal gold trim on the undercoat thinner and without a pattern
added the "little subtrim type thing" to the lower gold trim of the outercoat
fixed the weird gold trim issue on sleeve cuffs
made the coat seams more noticeable
altered the shoulder pad to look a bit more like the artwork,
made the sleeves baggier
made the collar longer and had it stick out a bit more and fixed the gold trim on it
I made the soles of the boots brown.

I I didn't add more gold to the cuffs because I'm not good at that and would hope that you or codex could make it look better.

I think that the model of the sword shouldn't be changed to keep consistent with hitboxes.

To the site's admins: I have a feature request. The "like" button is insufficient for my current needs. Please add "love" button.

Edit: The shoulders are a bit large now, though. I think they'd look better shrunk down a bit, and also made to not stick as far.
I hope all my suggestions haven't been a bother, I just really like what I'm seeing, and want this Eliroy to be the best it can be.

I'll be leaving my home in a few minutes so do you mind if you change the shoulders yourself? I can PM you & Codex the model and you can make whatever adjustments you feel necessary as well as playtest the model since I can't as I don't have a working SD card on me at the moment.

I got a suggestion for Bowser: You should take the textures of the brighter/colorful bowser and give it to the Rookie Bowser alt(Masked Bowser for those who don't know) to differentiate that costume with the default costume and possibly add in Megastrike Bowser to replace the old colorful alt costume.

Link to Megastrike Bowser- http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Number=32237

SORTA UPDATE:

For some reason I'm having rendering Issues but I also felt that I needed to make a post before the Anniversary passes over here in the UK!

NOTE: For some reason Imgur is glitching up and converting these pics into JPG's, in any case I wanted to link you all to some work in progress for IC's! Been very busy working on various other things but here's a few renders I've got for them! Some from the vault a couple of my own!

https://imgur.com/kvQGUxA,f2auUOi,EUOu8TY,5IBdbCU,MZvCEex,vSC7Rp2

Do note these are work in progress! I wanted to take my time and get the best out of the Ice Climbers, I also plan recolors for the Polar Bear costume! So look forward to that, I really apologies for the incomplete set but I really REALLY wanted to make the best out of the Ice Climbers out there!

Can we assume the Polar Bear recolors will be based on other bear species, like brown and black? If there's a Panda recolor, their hammer handles totally have to have a bamboo texture.

I've been looking through the original post, and I'm curious. When you get to Wario, will he get a Fire Wario alt, with a white shirt/hat and yellow overalls? Because to my knowledge, there are only three Fire Wario's in the Brawl Vault, and all three give Wario red overalls.

For the Polar Bear question! Yes!

And no worries, if I can't find a sutible Wario Alt, I usually make a lot of my own recolors, I was planning on using the Wario hats but alt costumes so they all blend well in game, we'll see!

Thank you sir :')

Can't believe I didn't think of this until after I reread my post regarding the bear costumes.

Perhaps the bear costumes could also get a Brown Popo and a Red Nana, as a shout-out to Banjo and Kazooie?

For the Icies I had two suggestions:

1) Would it be reasonable to do the CSPs so that the lead Climber was in front, instead of it always being Popo?
2) Instead of the switched costumes, I think it would be cool to do one based on the Famicom box art (where they're blonde) with more saturated colors, but have Nana be the lead.

Just a couple of thoughts, I've recently been racking my brain to come up with good IC alts myself. FYI, the Mango texture is pretty cool and there's always the lost texture from Melee (orange and light blue iirc) Keep up the great work, can't wait for the new cBliss!

If I may add to the Ice Climbers color ideas; maybe some themes based off of known game duos?
Like...
Jak and Daxter
Banjo and Kazooie
Mac and Alex Joe and Mac
something like that.
But I'm pretty sure you have all the slots accounted for.
A Black and White Mage recolor already exists maybe that?

Oh and Ratchet and clank.

Ides for costume colours.
Popo being the Dog could have:
Brown jacket.
With black rims around the hood to represent ears.
The actual body of the jacket could have grey fluff to represent the collar.
Brown gloves and brown shoes of course.
Whilst Nana being the duck could have:
Pink/Purple hood
Yellow fluff to represent the beak
White fluff on the body for the chest
Blue body with white gloves
And of course orange soles.
:3 hope this is a good idea :D

Ironically enough. Duck Hunt has a Banjo-Kazooie recolor.
I also just realized I said Mac and Alex rather than Joe and Mac.

That's a really neat idea! As a huge fan of Banjo Kazooie (I love that game so much you wouldn't believe it! Listening to the OST as we speak errr type rather!)

Hmmm, it might be hard considering the way I've laid out the renders, but I'll be sure to look into it! The main reason I'm going all Hmmmmm is because Nana is actually re-positioned is a way that I don't know how to replicate, alternatively I could do their renders separately so that the default position for them are in place so I can switch them around (Now that I think about it I can totally do that!) And as for your idea on the famicon and lost melee texture, I'm totally going to give that a shot! I can make a famicon one so let's see how this goes!

And thank you! I always go all out on these projects!

Yeah, the Ice Climber slots have been planned out to a degree! Banjo Kazooie recolors planned for the Bear costume, and funny you should mention that Black and White Mage themed recolor... Ohoho! You'll have to wait and see!

I'll give this recolor a shot as I'm quite unsure if this would come out nicely or not! (Need to see it to belive it I'd say!) So I'll give it a try and see this works out~

To this day I still use that recolor whenever I play as Duck Hunt on the Wii U haha!

Why haven't I discovered this thread before? These renders are top notch!
Yayyy! Scout! Glad you like these renders! Been around for a while now but the last few weeks I've been re-rendering them all with better lighting and updating models! Thanks!

QUESTION AND AN UPDATE:

A lot of people have been messaging me and asking me when the build will be released or if they want certain costumes and whatnot, I'm going to ask everyone a serious question.

Firstly, I have no date for when the build will be released, it's unknown to when the CBliss update will be out but at the same time I'll be patient about it, it takes time for these things to be worked on I can imagine.

Also before I continue I know I have a habit of apologizing but every time I don't reply to someone I feel bad! For those that I've not replied me, I'm sorry! I've been very pre-occupied with various things right now but I don't mean to ignore anyone!

Right, the serious question, right now, yes, the build is still being worked on, but I'm waiting for a various things to be released, from costumes to stages and so forth, so I was thinking, should I turn this thread into a Workshop thread?

Oh and don't misunderstand! The build will still be here and worked on, preparing for CBliss and costume releases but I figured, a lot of people want some of the costumes I've made and I figured, why not release the costumes/works and provide a download for them all?

In any case there's a poll for you all! This poll will close on the 6th of February! So I'd like to hear your thoughts!

As nice as that would be, aren't you overdoing it right now? Between your two threads, I don't want you to get burned out, and worrying about maintaining multiple uploads can really be a pain in the tookus, and fairly time-consuming.

Haha thanks! It means a lot to hear that, well specifically releasing what I currently have, it won't be things like a request workshop thread and whatnot, I get the feeling people would want to play with the new costumes being worked on that I currently have but unable to use them until the build release.

You're right though, it certainly does burn me out quite a bit working on various projects, and managing two threads, really glad to hear that people like yourself understand that! One of the reasons I love the community is people of how supportive everyone is such as yourself man! Thanks again!

That's a really neat idea! As a huge fan of Banjo Kazooie (I love that game so much you wouldn't believe it! Listening to the OST as we speak errr type rather!)

I'll do my best! And I'm glad you like everything so far and I'll doing everything justice!

Yayyy!

If you see yourself having lots of customs stages and characters then I would go for. Usually what I've seen are people making two threads, one for the stuff they already made and the other being a workshop.

I haven't done that, I usually have my updates in the posts and update the OP once the announcement has been posted.

Again it's about preference. So that's entirely up to you on what you do with this thread.

He's helping out with Smash 3 too, so in exchange I help him out here and there. Brawl modding is like...the most time consuming thing.

I'm glad to see people care about us fellow humans and don't rush us to release things!

At least we're not in '12 anymore, with all the DBZ and Sonic OC's requests everywhere.

I agree, project m will probably go on for a long time before another update, so take your time.

Honestly I would really just love a 10 costume build if that's at all possible. I think there's more than enough fantastic alts that you could choose from until the cbliss update when you can add the other four for each character. I know you're working incredibly hard on this, but it has been over half a year since you're original 2-week planned build, and having a solid build with your quality work would be much better than just releasing all the skins in my opinion.
