Source that there's no way it's a variable to possibly look at?because female characters don't get any special consideration,
I think Wolf was added in late in development because of time constraints. Clone characters probably don't take as long to implement and balance as unique characters, although, I don't blame Sakurai for making Wolf a clone, in fact I think he did a good job trying to make Wolf differ.I feel bad for the people who supported Wolf pre-Brawl and argued that he wouldn't be a clone, which he naturally wouldn't/shouldn't be, but you know Sakurai.
that was probably N3ON's personal opinion. The WTF does add to the question of whether Females get a special treatment because of the fact that she was chosen over the Male WFT. I still think it is too soon to judge whether Females are getting a special treatment because at this point we are branching out to Nintendo's lesser known characters. I don't think the addition of Krystal or even Palutena would prove that Females are getting a special treatment because they seem like characters that don't have much competition within their series, however, if a character like Dixie Kong or Lucina got in over King K.Rool or Chrom respectively then it would seem suspicious.Source that there's no way it's a variable to possibly look at?
That said I'm not at all opposed to more similarities/traits. I'd just like something different than Landmasters.
I feel that the addition of Wolf has made me feel less attached to FalcoIf Wolf got in Melee I would have loved him much more. But adding him on in addition to Falco (who I also love) as another variation of Fox felt like really wasted potential. Granted for what they were working with, I do think they did a good job with Wolf as a fighter (feral/low stance, fights "dirty/dangerously" in comparison to Fox/Falco), just not with Wolf as a character
(even his voice acting seemed off, to me)

Dat A$$!!!I'd attribute WFT getting in over WFT-Male for the same reason I think Sakurai shared a pic of her ***. Sex sells.
if Krystal would have appeared in the first two Starfox games along with everything else, this roster choice would have made perfect sense, however, I would have to disagree about Starfox having any less than three character slots, and here's why:As much as Falco has grown on me, and as much as Wolf would have grown on me if I liked Brawl.. this would be the ideal Star Fox roster (based entirely on what I value.)
Star Fox, as a franchise, no longer warrants more than 3. I think it only warrants 2 to be honest.
Fox: As he is, some of Wolf's "dirty" moves because Fox is edgy. Gets falco's laser.
Krystal, with a Krystal moveset (including, importantly, staff. Maybe even upgrade her staff with Star Fox technology.)
Of course, I don't expect this to happen. Rather, I'm thoroughly convinced it won't, but it's still how I feel.
1. So is Captain Falcon, but their movesets are completely innovated, as opposed to taken from the characters (save for Falcon punch/kick/dive, and the laser [to a small extent, the powerful legs.]) I don't think Captain Falcon or Ness should have any franchise partners. Star Fox isn't as "bad" (sales, recency, etc.) as Mother or F-Zero, so it should get more than 1.if Krystal would have appeared in the first two Starfox games along with everything else, this roster choice would have made perfect sense, however, I would have to disagree about Starfox having any less than three character slots, and here's why:
1. The Starfox characters are each combat oriented and fit in the smash atmosphere
2. The Starfox characters get in because they are popular among the fans
3. Fox was a part of the original 12
4. Starfox was once a big franchise
I still feel like i'm living in the 90's back when Starfox was up there with the Legend of Zelda, and Donkey Kong. Because of this I am still hopeful and can see Starfox making a big revival someday. To anyone who says Starfox is dead I question if they were living under a rock in the 90's or if they were even born in the early 90's. If Starfox would have been done right in the Gamecube era then by all means would I feel that it deserves 4 reps.
Put simply, she moved, so now she's from Sauria. Why does it say Sauria's finest, when Krystal is from a planet called Cerina?
She moved to Corneria though, not Sauria.Put simply, she moved, so now she's from Sauria.

Krystal is very unlikely to be in. Get over it.
I really think she missed the boat in Brawl and she's not that popular in Japan either.
Welcome to the Krystal threadthe stench of furries is strong here, either way you all need to lower your expectations
Wolf is not a clone. He has a similar moveset to Fox, but that's a given.I feel bad for the people who supported Wolf pre-Brawl and argued that he wouldn't be a clone, which he naturally wouldn't/shouldn't be, but you know Sakurai.

And people in this thread still stick by the staff argument. It has been a decade since SFA, why reference it? If they didn't give any reference to SFA in Brawl or Melee it's even less likely they will in SSB4.
I should hope they mention Star Fox Adventure exists in her games section, considering that was her debut, but I was looking for something like a stage, an item, an assist trophy... and yet that's about as much credit the game gets, isn't it?
Not really.would anyone complain if Starfox got four reps?
But this type of anger is always going to be around. ROB > Ridley type situations are bound to happen, and we cannot have everyone, so... someone is always going to be disappointed. Plus, she may not be QUITE as popular as those three, but she's pretty damn close. However, I can see people getting ticked off if Krystal got in over more popular characters such as Ridley, K.Rool, Mewtwo, etc.
