That was a Rate Their Chances thread so I followed the rules. If a character is up for a vote other characters within the same series representation can be discussed and has been already. I never voted for Slippy and he wasn't the only character I've mentioned either. What I've said was an opinion an is no way a fact by any means so there isn't anything to be upset about. I may not agree with the views but I don't go out of my way & insult the users that don't follow what I think, thats just low & in the end, makes you look bad & damages the reputation of the fanbase.

We're already on thin ice with Smashboards, don't make it worse.

I had a feeling something like this would happen. I sure as heck don't like it but I don't think I would go that far as to send a private message like that. I don't know if I like how Afro rated her either but at least he was much more fair than most people percentage wise if that means anything.

There was one person who rated not only Krystal in straight zeros but Excitebiker as well which I think was most uncalled for. You can't let your bias affect your ratings like that, whether they like it or not she's got a chance and a fairly good one at that. Excitebiker has a shot too especially if Sakurai finally figured out a way to make him work since he was considered once. The only ones that don't have a chance is jokey characters like Naruto, Shrek or anyone else that does not come from a game!

Then again this said person is quite well known here as a troll who isn't afraid to put Krystal down anytime so... yeah >.>

The crazy part about it is that Samus has been stripping down since the NES. How anyone could not realize the hypocrisy of their argument in citing Krystal as some egregious offender of decency while giving Samus a free pass is flabbergasting. Even more recently in Palutena's trailer, she did a quick pose for the fans that included close ups of her bust and her ***. Yes, Nintendo is not about sexualizing their characters to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

Let me tell you something else, Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War is hands down my favorite FE game. Incredibly influential. Introduced the rock/paper/scissor weapon triangle to the series. Love it to death, but it opened Pandora's box and set in motion this insane waifu/husbando culture that's gripped the franchise and pushed it towards the deeper end of fanservice. If you've played FE: Awakening, you'll see sexualization take flight there as well. Is it any wonder it rescued FE? It had some of the most uninspired map design I've ever witnessed and the story was mediocre. I'm not an opponent of this kinda stuff, but it's important to point it out as it's occurring when you see fans of other franchises criticize Krystal for wearing tribal attire on a dinosaur planet.

To be honest, a lot of people complain about over-sexualization of some characters, but it's not like it's that bad. I mean, Tharja didn't have a lot of clothes on, she was still a great character, design and personality wise. ^^ Plus you see this kind of stuff everywhere, Nintendo is certainly not above showing some skin if it can make their characters more attractive to some customers.

I mean, let's be real, I wouldn't want to pay to play with ugly characters, but maybe that's just me. I do have a tendency to play the cutest or most beautiful characters in games. Sophitia, Seung Mina, Taki in Soul Calibur, Peach, Zelda, Jigglypuff in SSB, Krystal whenever she's available in Starfox, my Pokémon are often nice-looking like Lopunny, Gardevoir, Charmander, Clefable, etc...

To each their own, right ?

I gave her a zero just like all the other characters whom i don't think will be in Smash. Theres nothing unfair about it. As the game is almost near release, its prolly gonna be like that for the rest of the ratings as well. Before Brawl i would have given her 50% chance rating but not anymore.

I tend to ignore em too since it is what it is, but sometimes I get caught up with rage over how people can be so cruel or dare I say it stupid. It is the Internet after all so I guess it can't be helped but there's always that side of me that wants to send myself through this screen and smack em.

I thought for awhile that Robin didn't have a chance but that was due to Gematsu but I never would have given him/her a zero.. and I'm glad I didn't. Point is anything could happen, and I don't think it's fair to give someone a complete zero especially if they have not been deconfirmed. You seen what happen to Robin and you seen that even someone completely off the wall () could make it so you seriously can't just sit there and say none of these characters have a shot. All I'm saying is 0% is a strong number to put on a character that hasn't been confirmed or deconfirmed in anyway yet that's why it's unfair. All I ask is that you should at least acknowledge she could make it even if you think it's a long shot. We're dealing with Sakurai after all. If it means anything I would have given Rosalina a decent chance rating before she was actually confirmed.
