Praying mewtwo does return....(if ya cant tell, i am a big fan of the mew duo. :p) Mewtwo is SO relevant right now it isn't funny! if mewtwo and ridley (lets face it, if theres going to be a metroid rep, ridley would make a crap ton of sense) make it in smash 4.... all my hopes for the roster will be complete.

At first glance the outlined picture looked legit but after you said it looks like his mouth was opened I instantly seen it and noticed the third feature...The pupil in his eye.....Awsome stuff

I do want to believe it but the concept of using clouds, rocks, and trees as evidence is questionable to say the least xD

EDIT: at least, in concept as Pac-Man proved XD

not me, i think that theres probably some more characters. however, nothing is really popping up at the moment

sorry for two posts in the row, but basically, all we can do right now i theorize on what the (approximently) 4 missing characters are. perhaps we can keep this going for a bit longer on that note, for theorizing and gaining evidence on these 4 missing links?

I would put my money on more supposedly cut characters making a surprise return, as opposed to all new characters.

That includes mewtwo.

But thats just a bet, i got nothin and neither do you

Here are who I see as the 4 most LIKELY characters:
1. Mewtwo (Must I say more?)
2. Chorus Men (Due to Gematsu Leak) could also be another 3 and 4.
3 and 4. Brawl or/and Melee veteran such as Wolf, Lucas maybe Roy but I find that incredibly unlikely.

I believe Squirtle and Ivysaur will return before Roy, unless Roy simply returns as an alt costume.

Anyone else get that email from Nintendo that says there will be a character reveal trailer at midnight on Oct. 3rd? Perhaps someone that isn't in the Japanese launch version?

Kind of odd he axed the Pokemon Trainer and gave us a Fire Starter and a Water Starter but no grass. Maybe we get Ivy or Sceptile or maybe i'm just reaching? I mean that's a lot of Pokemon if so, but Pokemon does sell HUGE and clearly sales can boost Smash representation.

I didn't get that e-mail... that is odd to have a reveal trailer 2 weeks after the game is out in japan

But he's completely irrelevant. Outside of fanservice spotpass and DLC in Awakening, he hasn't been in a game since his release back in 2002. He's not the original character of a franchise, he's not the mascot, and he's not the most popular of the franchise. There's literally no reason to bring him back other than people want to use exactly who they used two installments back.

I think it's just referring to the Shulk trailer that was revealed today. Makes no sense for us to get a character trailer on the day of the international launch. The game would have been out in Japan for a few weeks by that point, so it's pointless. I wouldn't mind a trailer right before the Japanese launch confirming Duck Hunt Dog and possibly a veteran though. Wouldn't be surprised if Shulk was the last trailer.

it's not a trailer. it's because the game release at midnight 3 october and the " watch new trailer" is a link to the website to see the new characters and trailers already there.

I doubt we will know everything until December, or at least not for months. I'm nearly certain there was a plan for this early on, particularly with the almost guarantee of a leak happening in one way or another. Sakurai, not liking his surprises leaked (ENOUGH TO CHANGE THE ENTIRE GAME, hence no subspace, no cutscenes, only EARLY MARKETING), likely took advantage of this. I doubt all the content COULD be revealed.

that is what i am expecting. friends don't beleive me. It makes sense though. yes both will have the same roster but the some characters may not be avalible till wii u is out

I don't doubt him being more popular than squirtle and ivysaur, however. Just because pokemon is popular doesn't mean certain pokemon are popular.

By the way guys, Hyrule Warriors will be getting DLC. This strengthens the chance of Smash getting DLC, well, imo.
