So I was messing around with Marth in training mode a few days ago.

I ran off the stage and right as I fell off, I DBed. This caused Marth to gain the normal boost he gets without jumping. I think this could possibly constitute to new mindgames. It takes a lot of precise timing but it looks very flashy when getting it right.

I will make a video within the next week showing it, if you want, go try it out for yourself

db has too much lag to combo into anything effectively, they'd have to not be expecting it or you're on brawl+.

lol srry guy but like gpe said... first hit of db has too much lag to combo effectively unless you're goin against one of those blondes D: they never think so it'd work wonders on them :D

I tried the combo last night against my friend and it didnt work lol

And Hype, when executing this you don't jump causing you to be closer to the ground, its a fun mindgame I use on BF and PS a and 2.

The video will possibly come out today

I know what u mean but dancing blade has way too much lag to combo effectively especially with the lack of hitstun in this game. It could work though only for 1 stock then ur opponent will catch on and evade the "combo".

getting one stock off is better than not getting a stock off at all.
Go my random logic.
I proved that the combo=fail last night when playing my friend. I hit him with the DB but then he just fell onto the ledge.:urg:

No Hype knows what he is talking about. And I think you misinterpreted him, b/c he said what you found is = to jumping and immediately DB'ing.

Second, this really isn't necessary. You're not even going to get a stock off this. In fact you just gave them the edge.

Third, there is a Q&A thread. Use it.

Sounds pretty cool. Could be useful to punish edgehuggers (I think).
No because it won't even touch the edge hogger. In fact you will be the vulnerable one. If you do this while your opponent is on the edge, you give him a free ledge hop aerial into your face.

I know about the Q&A thread, if I used it, it would get drowned out with the other questions. And it really isn't a question

We already know the combo is fail, and yes it can give the opponent the edge

I found Jumping and immediately DB'ing go higher by at least a little bit. I get what your talking about but idk 'bout that.

This is like all the other Brawl ATs in the way that no one will use it.

I mean if someone grabs the egde early on, DB stall for a sec so their invincibility frames run out. If the ledge is open, take it but if your gonna die for sure if you B-Up, DB stall.

Haaaaaah? We will answer your question. And have you noticed that the Q&A thread has been inactive b/c nobody posts there? Mainly its just fooling around over there right now.

No it is the same distance. But you have to do DB at the same time as you jump. Which means you have to mod your controls so you can do it, or you just have to have insanely fast fingers.

Also... really what combo failed? Last time I checked no "combo" was posted.... and 1 hit does not count as a combo.

Illinialex you are talking about the wrong thing.

Good point, I haven't seen many questions there lately...

I'll try to get faster than

The "combo" I said was the Dair combo, which I hadn't actually tried since I've been busy lately,

it works with everyone, hence why you can cape with mario one platform to another without jumping on battlefield
