Actually that was probably a bad analogy, you don't learn anything during an rpg grind
If you take drawing seriously you should be doing it to the point where other people may consider it unhealthy.
One time I went through 2 whole thick graphite sticks in a single day, and those things are supposed to last weeks.
Eating is also overrated

Hmm thought it was the case of leveling up. At least for me, it's not that I take a whole session by doing nothing but grinding, but taking whatever free time I have to get experience before moving on to the next stage-- being overleveled.
In that sense, yeah, can't really apply being overleveled here. There's not even a boss fight to compare with.
I've only went through one graphite stick in a day when I was shading Wolf and Snake at Final Destination; there was so much dark in it
