I like how people who don't like other's personal preferences suggest said characters would be a waste or are idiotic choices because THEY don't want them.

Squirtle and Ivysaur are second party. Then I would like to also rephrase
That is a great point I can't believe I didn't catch that because I mained Young Link for A while now I main G&W mainly. Also Toon Link isn't as good as Young Link. Why is there no Young Link option when there's Pichu to choose from.
At this point they are basically first, they haven't escaped of Nintendo an their series has been there since the start. Same with Wolf and LucasSquirtle and Ivysaur are second party.
Still they are second party and I would like to see wolf back because he is a villain but he just need to be less cloney because he wasn't a total clone but needs to be less than he was.At this point they are basically first, they haven't escaped of Nintendo an their series has been there since the start. Same with Wolf and Lucas
There need to be a different paper Mario rep other than paper Mario.Still voting for Paper Mario, I don't care if we already have two Mario's.
I think Paper Mario would best represent the series. Yeah Dimentio or Count Bleck could work, but the various partners, badges, equipment, and items would more than likely be left out. There need to be a different paper Mario rep other than paper Mario.
I still don't see why people think Lucas and Wolf are clones they play completely different to Fox, Falco and Ness.Still they are second party and I would like to see wolf back because he is a villain but he just need to be less cloney because he wasn't a total clone but needs to be less than he was.
Actually they are semi clones not total clones but still similar thats why.I still don't see why people think Lucas and Wolf are clones they play completely different to Fox, Falco and Ness.
Yes, but we never got the Duck Hunt Dog, we got a mix of the functionality of the NES Zapper in Duck Hunt (an idea I tossed around), Banjo Kazooie (with the Duck and the Dog combined together [in Duck Hunt the dog collects the dead ducks]), the Wild Gunman, and the Hogan's Alley bombs.LOL Didn't you say the same thing about people who supported DHD?
Did I miss something? If Wolf is a semi-clone of Fox, then Jigglypuff is a semi-clone of Kirby, given that both characters share approximately 2 or 3 moves.

That's literally nothing like you or any Duck Hunt fans described. It's more what the NES Zapper and Banjo Kazooie fans described. And I had tossed the idea of the NES Zapper around, but quite frankly like nearly everyone else (including you and the Doge fans), no one combined it and Banjo Kazooie. It was the development team's genius idea that you or your fellow duck Hunt Dog fans didn't think of.
Your description of the idea of a Duck Hunt Dog was about as awful as your idea with Meowth with 6 different attacks named "Payday". None of your guys' ideas were anything like what Duck Hunt is like in Smash 4; it's mostly just awful ideas like the ones you find in terrible Smash fan games (aka all of them), in this case Smash Crusade.
Edit: Also, this is funny coming from the person who didn't know Link had a second attack in his fSmash.
No, not really.Did I miss something?
As are all the Fire Emblem characters, Isaac, all Pokémon properties, all the Kirby characters, all MOTHER characters, etc.Squirtle and Ivysaur are second party.
OK first of all you took my first quote out of context read the post before it then you will understand. Also Nintendo let Rare keep all of their own created IPs just wouldn't let them take the ones that belonged to Nintendo at first but, Nintendo could have kept Banjo, Conker and all of those other IPs that Rare created while working with them if they wanted to. Don't know why they didn't though. No, not really.

Nintendo has a ton of 2nd parties, although to be fair they do at least own split rights to those characters. They have largely prevented "another Rare situation" from happening. I think ultimately the lack of Banjo, Perfect Dark, and Conker in their arsenal of IP's and characters really hurt them, and I doubt they want that to happen again.
Oh really? You had moveset ideas for DHD in the past? Then why did you not make a DHD moveset and share it with the DHD supporters in the DHD thread? Why did you repeatedly say that it was impossible for you and the "top posters" to come up with a moveset for DHD?If Wolf is a semi-clone of Fox, then Jigglypuff is a semi-clone of Kirby, given that both characters share approximately 2 or 3 moves.

I don't think this conversation is meant for or appropriate for this thread.Oh really? You had moveset ideas for DHD in the past? Then why did you not make a DHD moveset and share it with the DHD supporters in the DHD thread? Why did you repeatedly say that it was impossible for you and the "top posters" to come up with a moveset for DHD?
Also, if you had looked at my DHD moveset in the DHD thread, you'd notice that I suggested that DHD's moveset would involve the person shooting with the NES Zapper from the fourth wall. Yeah, don't act like I and the DHD fans didn't come up with the "fourth wall shooter" idea...
Oh, let's go back in time to February 6, 2005 when I made a DHD moveset. I mentioned Banjo-Kazooie right there and some of the moves I suggested were based off Banjo-Kazooie. I had more moveset ideas that I kept changing around... like on September 19, 2007 and June 10, 2008. Interestingly enough, the 2008 moveset had the hunter shooting from the fourth wall as part of the Smash moves. Oh, and DHD does have the cartwheel move from Crusade. DHD also throws clay pigeons and the duck carries DHD just like my movesets suggested and that's what DHD does in Crusade. Also, my 2007 moveset had the duck pecking enemies for DHD's forward and backward aerials (except I suggested that the duck pecks repeatedly).
Huh? The Ice Climbers are on the very top of the list.I am wondering how you can cast a ballot and not have the Ice Climbers on it? Can someone who didn't vote for the Ice Climbers explain this to me?
They don't like/care about the Ice Climbers? It's not complicated.I am wondering how you can cast a ballot and not have the Ice Climbers on it? Can someone who didn't vote for the Ice Climbers explain this to me?
I mean how could some when they went to vote for wolf not also check off the Ice Climbers? They don't like/care about the Ice Climbers? It's not complicated.
I meant by votesHuh? The Ice Climbers are on the very top of the list.
I voted for them but I don't expect everyone else to vote for them. (Same for any other character I voted for)
I think low expectations have something to do with it.I don't think this conversation is meant for or appropriate for this thread.

The thing is, those characters already have prominent roles as assist trophies and what not. Characters like Dixie, Wolf, Lucas, Mewtwo etc being regular trophies doesn't eliminate them as DLC choices because trophies are relatively minor compared to stuff like being an assist trophy or stage hazard, what with being moving 3D models that affect the gameplay.Excuse me, but could Ghirahim, Saki, Dillon, Tingle, Midna, Phosphora, Riki, Ashley, and Waluigi to this poll?
If I cared about this, I would not have suggested them. I believe Assist Trophies are not relevant to DLC content. The thing is, those characters already have prominent roles as assist trophies and what not. He said they weren't worth the time or resources during development to fix but once the Wii U version is out then they will have the time and resources to fix them since basically everything is done except for a few DLC things.I think low expectations have something to do with it.
I'd love to have the ICs back and if it were possible, I believe they should be first in line to be brought back, but remember they were cut due to technical limitations of the 3DS. If these issues really can't be resolved, then I don't think we'll be seeing the Ice Climbers until Smash 5.
You should mention that in the joke character thread.I voted Lucas, Pichu, Squirtle, and Ivysaur because I played as all of them. Lucas and Pichu are probably the highest ones on my list since Mewtwo is already confirmed. I considered picking Other and stating Groose and Lana, but the only reason for that would be due to finding the idea of them playable as funny.
Finding them funny does not mean joke character. I find Wii Fit Trainer and Villager funny, but they aren't really considered joke characters...maybe Groose could be a joke character, but I could potentially imagine him being viable in some way.You should mention that in the joke character thread.
There's also 8 player Smash which would mean 16 Ice Climbers on screen at once. I'm not sure of the Wii U's technical power, but that and the 3DS's technical limitations when with items on high, may be an unsurmountable mountain that these particular climbers cannot overcome. He said they weren't worth the time or resources during development to fix but once the Wii U version is out then they will have the time and resources to fix them since basically everything is done except for a few DLC things.
Ehhhhh, I'm not going to tell you that you can't support characters you want, but Fire Emblem is a franchise with many popular characters... and Roy really isn't one of them. I strongly doubt that they will ever bring back Roy, if we get a 5th FE rep in Smash 4 it will most likely be a 3rd Awaking rep.In general, I believe that all cut veterans should be brought back (except the Ice Climbers because as much as I like them it seems that's not a possibility, and potentially not Snake either because of the difficulties involved in licensing a third party character) because there's people who mained those characters that are left without the playstyle that suits them best now.

Binding Blade is a game that they've talked about remaking in the past, so if that ever happens it'd be good as a tie-in and Roy himself is popular because of appearing in Melee. He also has a new, kickass design after appearing in Awakening DLC. A third Awakening rep would just be excessive imo, a second Shadow Dragon/Mystery of the Emblem character should come before that, maybe Caeda (she'd be unlike any other character, that's for sure.)Ehhhhh, I'm not going to tell you that you can't support characters you want, but Fire Emblem is a franchise with many popular characters... and Roy really isn't one of them. There's quite simply no reason to put Young Link up there. Having a 3rd Link is different from having a 2nd Pikachu anyway. Why is there no Young Link option when there's Pichu to choose from.
While I understand that people like those characters, and some may want them upgraded to playable from Assist Trophy, I will not add them to this poll for a few reasons.Excuse me, but could Ghirahim, Saki, Dillon, Tingle, Midna, Phosphora, Riki, Ashley, and Waluigi to this poll?
Perhaps, but he'd be a 3rd Link. Young Link was essentially replaced by Toon Link in Brawl. I personally have never considered Young Link missing from the game; just there in a different form. Bottom line is that I don't see a good enough reason to add him to a poll in the future. That's only a numerical difference, which shouldn't really matter at all.
