Pokemon that need evolutions/pre-evolutions

Technically there could be a neutral version, but I think Plusle and Minun being "tagteam" pokemon should stay a twosome, three is a crowd.

Does Aerodactyl really need an evolution? I think Mightyena really needs one, and I may have spelled his/her name wrong. I used one on Ruby because I thought it was so cool, and it's pretty fail.

We came up with an idea for a Ditto evolution either in the Snorlax Room or the SWF-Dex, it was called Ditto V2.

It looked like a cube Ditto.

In terms of NEEDING an evolution, Corsola NEEDS one. What can it do, tank?!? Hardly.

Now, this next one is not needed, but would be cool: a Xatu evolution.
Natu > Xatu > Zaxtu

The name is catchy, would be defensive-minded, and keeps the Xatu family from being in the NU category.

Although the name and design of the evolution is something that's beyond me at this point.

Also, that Xatu evolution would be cool, kind of like a Quilfish evolution.

How about a Macargo evolution, something like Ryperior, with solid rock.
A fire and rock type sucks, but with better stats and solid rock ability, it could be useful...

Theirs could be a calf that depending on teh gender could evolve into either Miltank or Tauros

I created this one sprite a long time ago, and it's a sprite of a Tauros pre-evo:

Basically, a Tauros calf with one tail.

A pre-evo that links both of them would be interesting though.

Yes, but you're in a small pot, and f***ing Macargo is the one boiling the pot!

On that note, Macargo with a new evolution and the ability Solid Rock (like Ryperior), would prove to be quite an interesting creature.

A surskit evo would be great! Who else got p***ed when Masquerian, a generic bug/flying type was the final evolution, and it had crappy stats?!? I was.
It should have a base speed of about 105, maybe a little more or less...

As long as Farfetch'd gets none. It's hard (read: impossible) to make another pokemon that's as awesome as him.

Masquerain would be very happy if it got an evolution. It would enjoy getting new unique moves and Intimidate would be semi-useful.

I remember the first time I trained a Surskit and how mad I was when I discovered Masquerain's bug/flying type after it evolved. I really like Masquerain, and it would be cool if it did get an evo.

That said, it would also get Bounce.

I think a prevolution to Lunatone and Solrock (same scenario with Miltank/Tauros prevolution) would work well...if Solrock and Lunatone had better / higher stats...

considering that the Solrock is a sun and Lunatone is a moon, I would say something that comes before them.

I planetesimal or a meteor would work great for Lunatone, but not for Solrock...

A star that is just starting out its life would work great for Solrock but not for Lunatone...

It would be easier if they were related in some way

THEY'RE BOTH FREAKIN' ROCKS.

Although a comet might be a good pre-evo since it's part rock and is bright like the sun (of course that's all reflected rays on the ice from sunlight) and it could be called Cometeor.

A comet wouldn't make sense! Maybe for a moon because moons often form when they hit a bigger body and the debris clumps together to make a moon, but for a star? Seriously?

It's a celestial object, and Solrock is a rock type (the general type for any hard, compact Pokemon.)
Hydrogen dust doesn't make sense when describing rock types, but since Solrock breaks that rule, its pre evolution can too.

Pokemon doesn't have to make logical sense.

A comet prevo would NOT make sense.

Considering that a comet is made of ice and Solrock is based on a star which is made of fire which takes extreme heat to form, teh prevo should be something else

Solrock is a rock, it even has rock in it's name. It's not a real star.

I think it would be more of a Fire/Rock type.

It could be in the early stages of a planet/star. It could be like earth was billions of years ago.

This wouldn't fit a star, but it makes MUCH MORE sense than a comet
