Around the forums I have seen many people who wish they were better battlers or who requested help. So, in a stroke of genius, I decided to be completely uncreative and copy Smogon! Basically this is exactly the same as smogon's battling101 program. We will have skilled battlers as tutors in different tiers and less experienced players will apply to be tutored in the arts of team building and battling over Shoddy Battle. You will also need AIM (or trillian or iChat, etc.) to participate.
Sessions will last from 1-3 weeks at the discretion of the tutor and tutors will be repeatedly getting new apprentices.
Right now I am accepting applications from people who want to be tutors. These must be experienced and skilled battlers, and if I have any question about your skill I will battle you to find out.

Battling experience: I've been playing competitive since I joined the PokeCenter (late 2008) but dropped into the UU scene afterwards and am still playing today. I was selected for two BOTW matches: An OU which I lost closely and an UU against Silent Verse for which I played a strong game of 0-4.
A little bit about yourself: You've probably seen my scurrying about the boards working on a bunch of projects. Needless to say, I'm a friendly guy who only hopes for the best for the PokeCenter, so by tutoring I hope to further that idea.

True I wasn't very good at it back then, I still got a surprisingly many wins even then, but it's only until the past year or two that I've gotten any good. I've chosen OU as my metagame of choice, but I can give you little pointers for LC and NU if you want.
A little bit about yourself:I'm just some random white guy in Maryland, I've got lots of experience, even tutoring, seeing as I've taught Straked a little bit as well. Need something to keep me distracted in the summer so I felt like doing this.

Battling experience: I haven't actually dealt with the true competitive Pokémon scene until about a month ago, but due to my habit of going into matches with obviously subpar teams (see: six Dragon team) and dealing with it by just outplaying the opponent 50 times I've been forced to learn quickly. I also talk with Umbreon a lot.
A little bit about yourself: I used to play a lot of Smash but the local scene's pretty much half-dead so I've been getting into other games. Since my execution sucks I typically focus more on the prediction/mindgames aspect, which is a big part of why I currently enjoy competitive Pokémon.
