It didn't take long for civility to break down.

Immediately, accusations were thrown around regarding the disappearance of the loyal Seviper. Had he been betrayed? And by who?

One finger after another was raised in accusation. A long-standing blood feud was recalled - there was indeed someone who would have every desire to want Seviper gone. Perhaps they saw their opportunity, and seized it in the dead of night?

The accused's defense moved from incredulity, to attempts at reason, to vitriol. And all the while, as the shouts from the crowd raised to furious cacophony and tension to a fever pitch, a lone figure in the back slowly stewed.

He stood. He pointed. He bellowed, his voice rising above the crowd.

"Coward! It was you, I am sure of it!"

As his voice reached the crowd, as the assembly turned to look, they grew silent. By the time he'd finished, all that stirred was the breeze. The crowd quickly parted between the two, as though the figure's gaze alone had cast them aside.

The accused stared in wide-eyed surprise for a long moment, searching the lone figure's eyes for understanding, and finding only a burning, righteous rage, until the angry figure's decree broke the stillness again.

"Let us settle this in the honorable way. I challenge you to single combat! Face me by yourself and let us see who remains victorious!"

The accused hardened. He straightened. He leveled a claw. "I have my honor. I accept your challenge."

There were some murmurs in the crowd. Could this be done? Even Meowth and Pikachu exchanged concerned looks. But Tyranitar merely huffed, moved slowly to a wide space on the island, and dragged his tail in the form of a wide ring.

The combatants wasted no time. They moved to their makeshift battleground. Tyranitar stepped aside, his face betraying a slight grin.

They faced one another. The stage was set.

The figure readied a combat stance. "I hope we may have an honorable duel, regardless of the outcome."

The accused's face betrayed no emotion. "Let us begin."

And in the space of heartbeats, they charged one another.

Yes, I intend to take TWO applicants for assistants for this game, as I intend to potentially host both a larger and a more complex game than average and even the normal chaos would already destroy me.

Applicants should be able to offer such qualifications as:

Basic knowledge of the complete plot of Kid Icarus: Uprising, including but not limited to a basic understanding of the abilities of characters, a rough understanding of all events, and the understanding that logic has no place here
Ability to ferret out potential loopholes in ability descriptions and avoid unpredictable chaos
Ability to both condone and create bizarre and -to the players- unpredictable chaos, thus creating predictable chaos
Ability to check up on PMs and fulfill ability work as needed so I don't choke on my own game
Ability to pitch in with incredible flavors (such as floor ice cream and fried angel wings) as needed
A sense of humor, duh
