Skate= My new favorite game now, seriously! I love the environment, control scheme, and the music is..well... ok at the most (I got my iPod so no biggie) not saying I care for any games soundtrack..

The camera was a bit awkward for me at the start, but now i'm used to it.

Anywhoo.. ummm...

....yeah....

The skate. demo killed it for me so badly. It was awkward and really just not all that fun. If I wanted to skate realistically, I'd take the time to learn. But it DEFINITELY has a huge following already so I guess it works.

Sadly, I forgot all about Assassin's Creed and then I saw the videos for Unchartered, Timeshift, and the announced Warhawk expansion leaves me pretty broke as well. I suggest, if you are 18, to check out Prize Rebel which is like the site in my signature, except you get points for prizes and you can request custom prizes from Amazon. Also, if you have Warhawk, patch 1.1 is coming at the end of this month (this week?) and it fixes the ping issues, stats, and game connections AND adds Arbiters. Arbiters are "players" who check for cheating and griefing. If you are suspected you can be e-mailed to stop, have your account warned, blocked, stats wiped OR by ordered to "Prove your skills". This will be done probably in a 1-on-1 setting, just you against the arbiter. Kotaku said it's the first they have ever heard of any anti-cheating system implemented for a shooter.

Stop getting my hyped for Warhawk [even though it's already out] CK! I don't have money for a PS3! I'm gonna see if anyone I know has a PS3 and befriend them quick^^

I thought I was going to love Lost Planet, but I didn't at all. The graphics? Fantastic. The gameplay? Super repetitive and super boring. The multiplayer was pretty fun, but I sold the game after I beat the single player.

Eric, try Timeshift if you haven't already. There's been two demos released for it on the 360, both have been pretty bad.

You guys couldn't have come on at a better time. Next week we are rumored to get firm ware 2.0 and the patch for Warhawk. Though the firmware could be bogus, the patch isn't. Then a month later, Warhawk expansion.

The game is pretty epic and I am quite open to a clan of some sorts.

Anyone getting Assassin's Creed? I am debating it now.

Also, Eye of Judgement? My girlfriend like the Playstation Eye Toy and EOJ comes with the PlaystationEye, so I assume games are coming for it, but is it worth $70?

Too me, nothing is worth $70, it's not that I'm cheap, I just never have more than 50 bucks on me..
But Eye of Judgement looks pretty interesting... I can't say if it's something I would want to buy though.

For those who don't want to read, you can stream PC titles to your PS3 for free. Halo, Halo 2, Bioshock, ALL ours for the playing. Pretty sweet deal there.

I have R&C/Warhawk but the 40GB isn't out until Nov.

About that story, it's seems vague on the details. How can they offer those games for free? If it's some kind of rental service I could believe that but free games sounds suspicous.

It's not free. People host games that they own for time limit playing. The idea behind it is say you have a game you want to play on another computer without installing it, get this and you can stream it. Well, using that, you can stream the game to the PS3. This opens up the PC library to the PS3.

That's the kicker, other people can host games too which you can access via the link they provide.

It helps Sony only by giving people with ****ty computers a chance to play games that they couldn't before.

That's what I didn't understand. If I could play spore without upgrading my PC then I'm all for it. It's just the information in the article and the comments didn't paint a clear picture of what exactly this was capable of.

Keep in mind, the idea is just a theory of what is capable. To actually accomplish this, you must install Linux on your PS3. The reason is because the next stage of this system will be Linux. It works in Vista and XP right now. They suspect it working by the end of the year. If it does, awesome. If it doesn't, really no loss. I just thought it was really awesome.

Assassin's Creed coming out within 3 weeks.

I'm gonna rent Assassin's Creed. I don't think it's going to have any sort of replay value.

TimeShift though, it's got sticky aim to the point where it's hard to not be aiming at an enemy, the enemies feel really uninspired as well as the environments (I thought it felt like FEAR, gameplay-wise and with the enemies). I'm really picky with shooters, though.

Cashed, let's be honest here. We have 4-5 actually interested parties in the PS3 + you. Creating a topic for every game we discuss seems a bit much, don't you think? I can see with the Wii since it has predominance here, but I just think keeping this as the only PS3 topic (games etc) is logical. But, it's your room. We'll leave it as you wish. What about PSN updates? I've been meaning to keep up with that.

We'll see. I am aware that there aren't near the amount of people on here discussing the PS3 or the 360 as the Wii, and this topic thankfully isn't as large at the Wii thread. And you guys don't spam in here. Definitely. The Sony servers have dozens of games of 32 people and 24 people (usually done as teams) every hour. Tons of servers have 31/32 people and these are just the ranked servers. The non-ranked servers can vary from 2 on 2 to 16 on 16 as well and most are usually full.

With the expansion coming out in 2 months time, I'd expect for participation to stay the same if not increase. This game isn't going to die anytime soon.

I don't know the length but a lot of games seem to be coming in at 7 hours. Last I heard Ubisoft isn't goinig to release a demo.

Corrected though. Within a week or two, if you have a PSP, it can now completely remotely access your PS3. Before, you had to have been home to at least leave it in Remote Play.
