I wouldn't go to a tournament where doubles is considered to be worth 25% as much as singles. It's already 50% as valuable by default, but turning it into a mere side event is just plain disrespectful to doubles and those that play it.

LA as the right idea.

We don't have the turn out yet to charge more for doubles.

As Zac said... If we get more people coming, then yes, we can up the price.

But what do I know. I just find the venue.

My tournaments are a lot more relaxed. THEREFORE... It will stay that way. I will not do ANYTHING to jeopardize that aspect. If it's ok with EVERYONE to up the price then fine. I will. But I will NOT do anything without the community's consent.

Zac already said that if we have the turn out then we will up it. That's the best you're going to get.

there's a difference between "relaxed" and "doubles doesn't matter and is only as important as low tier tournaments"

lol

I did read. I just still disagree with it and don't understand why someone like Zac especially wouldn't have the respect for doubles to realize it should be upped to $10 per person by default as a matter of principle.

Yes well you're not a part of the Dallas community or have anything to do with this particular tournament. If you have a problem with it, take it to PM's with him. I don't want this in my tournament thread.

Inui, if you show up to Dallas tournaments and bring out-of-state people with you then I will gladly increase the price of doubles to $10 a person. Doubles is a serious event in this case.

However, if you aren't going to show up to the tournament, please don't complain about the rules. Right now these Phase tournaments are more of a replacement for the old PBTs. They aren't really ready yet for large regional events. We need a larger venue and more hype first. Because of that, I don't believe these Phase tournaments should be treated as strict high-level competition tournaments.

Wait, Pokebattles as in...Pokemon DS battles, or Pokeballs only in Brawl?

Pokebattles is where you do a 4-player free-for-all with everyone choosing Pokemon Trainer, but not choosing a specific pokemon so when you start, you have a random Squirtle, Charizard, or Ivysaur.

During the game, whoever are the same pokemon are on a team. Therefore, you could have 2v2, 3v1, or 2v1v1. You are not allowed to transform manually. In the event that everyone is the same pokemon, it becomes a free-for-all.

Variations include only pokemon stages or pokeballs included. Dallas plays this instead of Duelist now lol.

Ledge Grab Limit Rule: Characters are allowed to grab the ledge a total of 60 times per game. If you think that your opponent grabbed more than this, check the stats after the round. If it is exceeded the limit even by a single ledge grab you will lose your match (not the set). However, this rule can be ignored if BOTH players agree.
Might want to clarify that this only matters in the case of a time out.

I'm not gonna be making this. I decided to just stay home and take care of some work I've been getting behind on.

But next time I want in on Pokebattles!
