Oh snap, this is awesome news to wake up to. I wonder if there'll be a new story mode too...though...I admittedly haven't played the P4A story mode *bows head in shame*.

And Shadow versions of characters? Why do I get the feeling Shadow Chie has the potential to be insane?

Edit: Though wait, Elizabeth has the MOST Persona cards along with Shabrys? I mean, with Shabrys it makes sense but...the only way I ever stand a chance against Liz is when she's got no Persona, so eep. Though thinking about it, it actually means when she DOES get Persona broken she's in that state for longer so it's probably not all that bad. And also, thinking about it, is anybody else alone in thinking P4A might be better suited to a more old BB (pre-Chronophantasma) speed?

Hell no. Jourdal posted a bunch of videos from CS1 recently, and after watching CP videos CS1 is like watching paint dry.

I dunno, I was watching some CS2 matches he posted and they seemed fine. Some people have been saying for a while P4A's too hectic (which it kinda feels like at times), as they were saying BB felt too slow (which I never thought, but I guess I can kinda see), so I figure as BB's getting faster, having P4A get a little slower might just balance things out. Who knows though, I'll have to see actual footage when it's up to decide.

Fun fact of the day guys regarding hit stop. BBCS and GG share the same amount of hit stop. BBCP has less hitstop than those two games while Persona has higher amount of hit stop than all of these games. The general speed of all of these games are different of course.

Edit: Actually just checked. No known data for P4's hitstop. The amount of frames do feel pretty long though.

Wait, the lifebar no longer changes color. Did they remove Awakening's defense buff and only leave the extra SP skill and +50 SP? 'Cause I'd totally be okay with that.

I'm hearing that Yosuke has a teleport in Sukukaja now...

Only about a year at best until it comes out on consoles! :D

I see two ways to look at this. Either "oh, only 2 new characters?" or "hey, over 10 new characters!". Though it'll be interesting to see who ranks higher or lower than their Shadow version when the game releases in Japan and has a tier list.

I can see this being tough for arc sys to balance a whole new cast of shadow characters alongside the newer characters and old character tweaks. Hopefully they'll be able to pull it off.

Shadow Rage honestly sounds closer to Melty's Heat activation than it does Custom Combo mode.

No Bursts for the Shadow characters other than Shabrys? Well...I guess that drops each of them at least a tier since that mechanic can kinda...y'know, be pretty useful.

Considering the game isn't even out yet, and we know very little about it, I'm really confused as to how you came to this conclusion.

It's way too early to say how good or bad Shadow characters will be. :/

The loss of the burst shouldn't be too bad, you always had the option to use it offensively, now you get that choice at the character select screen.
Shadow characters will also get to start the match with their best tools available.

And we know that there will be some differences in how Normal and Shadow characters work, so it's not like Arcsys is just changing how burst and meter works and hoping everything balances itself out.

I'm really interested in how different a shadow character would be from its counterpart, there's almost no info on those changes. I'm hoping to see a lot of moves have different properties.

I was just going off the assumption that since they're taking away one of your defensive options, they would be essentially limiting how you play the match. It'd sort of, I guess be the same thing if BB had similar things, only the versions had no Barrier Block and just 1 primer. Truth be told though, the Shadow versions sound more like all-out offensive based versions than anything else.

Then you remember the fact that you can super several times during shadow rage. Inb4crossslashx5. That Kanji totally had the right idea (;

So I guess the hype lasted for a little more than a whole weekend, lol.

Well, I know in my case I'm just waiting to hear and see more. That, and I'm trying to figure out things as I play Resonance of Fate (see also: wondering how in the hell to do a Tri-Attack).

I've only played the demo of Resonance of Fate on the Japanese PSN. All I remember was, there was a load of instructions lol

It's a bit strange. I'm looking forward to this game, but I'm not absorbed into the buffs and nerfs compared to BB updates. It might be because I know a lot of characters, so there's a chance I won't stick with just Narukami or something.

It also might have to do with, at least with me, that Chronophantasma is on the near horizon, and GG Xrd is likely to be out a year after that, so that puts P4A2 in like 3rd from the get go.

I'm ok with the decision. As long as Sega Sammy doesn't force Atlus to do too much mobile or pachinko related things and that Atlus USA still exists, I'll be ok.

Reading more into it, it looks like it really is a subsidiary of Sega instead of Sega Sammy. I'm really not too thrilled about this now, especially with the thought of restructuring and the choices they'll make over Atlus.
