Yes...Well Metaknight has an awesome speed, and almost undodgable Aerials...but still it is dodgable...Metaknigh has a horrible knock back and even thoug its pretty hard to Fire Punch...I think he's easier than Ivysaur. MK doesn't have his projectile, which makes him possible to spamm or atleast make enough preassure on him so he will start approaching to u and there's ur free kill...Ivysaur has razor leaf, and his NB or US can **** Luigi in air...it's not safe on the ground either because of his huge attack hitboxes and possibillity to grab u from decent distance...thatz just my opinion...or maybe I have been playing a lot better Ivysaurs than MK...also im porobably talking a lot of BS...

yo.. i'm a PT main and my fav is ivysaur. i've never played luigi so i don't know how difficult it would be to play a good PT such as myself. me and my friend lanuigi (luigi main) play sometimes and the win % is pretty much 50/50. but i think against his luigi, my ivy is the weakest bcz i get ownd at like 40% from shoryuken.

luigi owns iv personally. just get an aproach workin tornado cancel razer leaf i believe. kills happen at very low percents. green missle knockback is really good (even uncharged it gives enough time for ivy to NOT punish, and missfire kills at stupid low percents. counter pick Corneria and you can kill ivy at even stupider low percents. adn provide less punishable up bs cuz of the wing, and ivy can't get to the guns at the bottom so if need be its risky but you can hide there. and alwasy remember how easy it is to edge guard and ivy.

Out of the three PT Pokemon, I'd say Charz is the easiest and Ivy is the toughest for Luigi, though Squirtle comes at a close second only because he's hard to hit and has a better recovery than Ivy. But yeah, I agree with Ivy as the toughest PT Pokemon for Luigi.

Harder than MK?.... I don't believe so.

Toshima, my guess is the reason you're having trouble with ivysaur is because he has so many anti-air options. All of his up attacks are just goofy ridiculous. The remedy for this is basically, don't come at him from above. This is a necessary skill to learn because there are lots of characters, like zelda, peach, DK etc, that have been designed to have better options against people coming in from the air than anyone has coming down. Just keep in mind that every aerial you have has a horizontal hitbox, shorthop into their face instead of down onto their head.

Or, alternatively you could tornado in from the side. Just make sure that the last piece of it hits so you can pop him up into the air. Ivy has nice aerials but they all have lag on the front end, so if you can act quickly you can start a combo on him, and he won't have a lot of options to get out of it. If he goes out of range for a quick aerial you can SH a fireball to try to slow him up some. Either it'll hit and stun him, allowing you to react, or he'll airdodge it, which might be even better, because it gives you some time to get in close.

What? Ivysaur's that hard? I thought it was Zard or sometimes squirtle lol. It's more of a 55:45 or 50:50 matchup though. Ivy dies so early on a shoryuken on 42%. You must also know that he takes more damage to fire attacks so shoryukens/fireballs/green missle are viable here.

When fighting Ivy' think of Marth in a way, but with projectile, stronger though. Good Ivy's will space like a beast to keep them off their nuts. Utilts/Dthrows/all your aerial options/combos work so well here. Oh and, don't freak out on bullet seed. It's nothing special at all. Remember that Ivy has a superior ground game overall than yours. He outranges you (duh), but on the air, luigi has a slighter advantage because upair/dair aren't anything special and fair is abit laggy and bair is just weak.

Ivy's best aerials are Bair, Fair, and Nair. Bair is Ivy's best move, because it spaces so well. It's weak, but it will get you off me, and force you to approach me in another way. Fair has nice range also, and Nair is for close encounters. Vinewhip is nice to keep people away from Ivy in a 45 degree angle. Ivy is best known as an anti-air character.

Ivy out ranges Weegee everywhere.

I dont really know but Luigi players are pretty much focused on the aerials since Luigi has awesome aerials , my recommendation master toshima y use your fireballs they are your best weapon they will either force him to approach , leave you an opening, or make him do something predictable rack up some damage and shoryuken to his death just remember ppl might play with ivysaur but a good pokemon trainer knows how to play with all of them. btw i beat an mk today it felt godly

MK can just wh0renado THROUGH projectiles... and playing defensive and making someone approach doesn't mean you get a free stock. maybe you haven't played a very good meta... or heard of how ivy has a tether recovery...
