Perhaps a new Yoshi Technic? "RARET"

Hello Everyone,
after messing around with B-sticking Yoshi, I found something that might be useful. I'm not sure if it has been discovered by someone else already but if it has let me know.

I call it the "RARET" Reverse Aerial Recovery Egg Toss.

The easiest way to preform it is to B-stick meaning you change your control settings to: C-stick = Special. Once you have B-stick on simply full hop and smash your c-stick to the upper left or right corners depending on your direction. facing right: smash north west. facing left: smash north east.

Here is a link that will demonstrate it:

EDIT: I realized I spelled Technique wrong >.> I blame Fire Fox...

I mentioned this about a year ago non b-stick'd. It's a lot trickier to do my way though lol.

Doesn't have to be B-sticked.

I actually never though of this. It could be an alternative to ETS. Reminds me of Lucas's PKF wavebouncing. I should work on this to up my camp game. <3

Yah, it is kinda like a wave bounce.
I was able to do it a few times without b-stick but the only way I could do it was to dash, jump and then pivot the egg toss.

No, it actually is a wave bounce, lol. You can do it without B-sticking as well, just takes practice.
I see, I personally use B-sticking Yoshi for easy reverse yoshi bombs, short egg tosses and this. I might have to practice it the non B-stick way. Thanks for letting me know.

The only reason I know you can do it without B-sticking is because I've screwed my recovery with it on occasion. Hasn't happened recently, though.
Yah I've had that same problem, xD.
That's when I decided to figure out the easiest way to preform it. When I B-stick I can get it 99.9% of the time.

Very nice. I'm a really wierd Yoshi in the sense that I actually use B-sticking, but I never actually thought about using upB like this. This should be very handy, and easy for me as well.

:yoshi: Keeping this open because there is a bit of discussion.

Next time, though, please use the FAQ thread to ask if a technique has been discovered and experimented with already. Thanks. :D

old technique is old D: without B-sticking you use ^< (Controlstick leftup) and press upB and with the UpB press you circle the stick from ^< to >^. Its not hard too do. (Your are facing right in this example)
its a nice mix-up :D When you make the movment in the other direction you are reverse your momentum. this us useful too.

Yoshi <3 :D

Just another day.
Someone brought up half of the mixups I was thinking about in terms of recovering. I wonder if anyone other than Delta and Airborne will figure out the other half (tbh, I doubt someone would think of this as a good option)?

Anyways, like everyone else said, you can do it without needing a B-stick. I tried using B-stick, and there's not enough advantages going towards Yoshi for me to switch to it.

Edit: BTW, this is not a great option to use when the opponent is grounded. The egg doesn't fall short or far enough so the opponent can just walk under the egg and still pressure.

Yes this technique is not good to camp with, I find it very useful to grab the ledge right after use. Then I just toss eggs while I'm on the ledge. In other cases I do not use it much because like you said it can be easily avoided. I've also found it useful for mind games.

when i first saw the vid, I was like "-.-..... we knew this.", but then I realized that I never used it at that height.... Almost looks safer than ETS for different heights... it's worth experimenting with.
