There's not going to be enough competition at Pound 4 to warrant me going all the way to Maryland to participate =/. Sorry, I'd love to go...but I'm already pushing it by more than likely going to Orlando in January for the MLG National Championships..

I don't really see what the big deal is if Smash is MLG or not...really, the fighter genre isn't meant for MLG if you ask me, fighters are so much more underground. Plus, we don't have nearly as many people in this genre that are willing to travel across country for events compared to FPS, especially because the payout would be worse compared to their flagship game. For example, take a look at the SFIV scene. Justin Wong frequents a few MLG events to represent Empire Arcadia but they're not willing to partner with MLG because they don't like the way fighters would be represented according to how the fighter community is used to tournaments. I just honestly can't see fighters getting introduced into MLG for another year or two at least. It's still worth practicing for tourneys though because MLG or not, there still is prizes for getting first, second, etc...

I'd love for fighters to get into MLG though >=P. I miss the days of there being elite pros who consistently stayed at the top like Chillin, Azen, Ken, PC Chris, Chu Dat, etc. Now it's just like M2K, Mango, probably Armada, Hungrybox, then the rest are rather random with Zhu slowly started to become hella consistent. Falcos are on the rise >_>
