does anyone think theres gonna be another pause and play tourney any time soon? it looks like this last one was really popular (possibly just because of the date), but a successful turnout is always good.

JMH was really happy with how everything turned out, and glad to see that most people that gave feedback seemed to like it. He definitely plans to do more, if he can. He's considering making it monthly, but he'll probably wait a little bit before he does the next one.

Supposedly we played in teams friendlies at Stongertron, but me and JMH were doing double Yoshis then just for the hell of it. If you had lost to us then, you might as well have quit Smash yourself. I think anyone can get a pretty good idea of who you are just by reading this thread.

I'm really glad you don't represent the NC Smash community, because you are the one that needs to grow up.

Seriously just let it go, it's okay to suck at Melee. Stop complaining about me and just get better, since you suck. You're horrible at this game. You should quit. I think I'll 4 stock you 100 million times with one hand behind my back. I'll **** your Ganon with my big **** and then make him suck it. I think you don't even deserve to main Ganon since you're so bad.

You should just admit these things instead of making long posts about how I'm immature because I called you a scrub and you think you can do something about me calling out obvious things to other players. I said one "helpful" thing to him, and he had already caught on to your teching habit. Most of what I said was, "Keep doing that" or "yea, that's good". Half the time I was watching Stinger play Behr lol. You just need to calm down, since you suck at Melee and it's such a big deal.

Wow, you must really suck at this game. Don't you know that people who don't suck at this game don't say "you better be ready"? That's just dumb, like that troll you mentioned.

dude i love/hate ff8. it was the first one i ever had but...i never beat it. played through it 3 times. thinking about doing it again...

that final boss....i just couldn't find the right tricksies to do against it. great game though.

rome you make me wanna play it again. if i wasn't caught up in finally starting kingdom hearts, i think i would.

and the moon...so does that mean you're on disc 3 dealing with ragnarok? only thing i remember about the moon is that they had those enemies that looked like the pokemon absol. except the horn was coming straight from the middle.

Too bad the difficultly goes from hot knife through butter to dull knife through rock by the post-endgame. If you're an obsessive completionist like I am, good luck maintaining sanity while you grind to Ultima Weapon.

level 9999 in disgaea. now that's time consuming.

here's some disgaea writeup from someone that isn't me:

For those that don't know, the level cap in Disgaea is 9999. But that's only half the story.

You can then reincarnate and start over at level 1, and get bonus stats based on your level at reincarnation. I think you get the maximum stats after banking a total of something insane, like, 160,000 levels this way.

But that's not the end of it. Oh no.

EVERY ITEM IN THE GAME has a dungeon in it. The best items have 100 levels. Every 10th level there's a mini-boss. On the 100th level, there's a super boss. In the super-boss' inventory is, usually, another item - the same type as the one you're in, but one grade higher.

So you finish a rank 39 sword, and the boss has a rank 40 sword in his inventory which you can steal and level that up.

So you've got a maximum rank sword, fully levelled up. That's the end of it right? Oh hell no. Because gear all has different "rarity" ratings, and even a legendary item might have a rarity of between 0 and 15. Same stats, just a number, right? Except if you have more than one item equipped with the same rarity, you get even bigger bonusses to your character's stats. So you could, in principle, spend ages trying to get a rarity 0 version of all the best gear in the game, and match them one one character for massive bonusses.

That's all, right? Not even close. You see those orange blobs next to the weapon stats on the video? They're Specialists. Most items have these on, and they're NPCs that you can kill while grinding an item's dungeon to improve its stats. Once you kill them, you can then move them to another item or combine them together. Each specialist improves a different stat, and I think the limit for a single specalist's level is 999 or something (could be mistaken there, it's been a while since I played). Also, while you're levelling an item up, it gets better stat boosts if you have specialists on it, so the best way to level a weapon is by filling it with specailists and then grinding through its dungeon.

Did I also mention that there's several dozen classes and hundreds of playable monster types to unlock? And that every character can create "students" which you can learn their spells off of? So in principle, a single character could learn every skil in the game (apart from character specific ones) by creating lots of students and leeching all their skills.

Oh, and skills and weapon proficiencies level up as well, although I think they only cap out at 99 or something.

Basically, there's so much stuff you could potentially level up that if you're an insane completionist, it will destroy you. I think I dumped about 200 hours on one character and didnt have him anywhere even remotely near to "perfect"...

lol, i'd never do all that crazy ****. i'm about done with the main story, and I'm only around level 50 with my team.
