Rainbow Cruise is being taken out for experimentation purposes and won't be on the stage roster for this tourney.

Brinstar isn't even comparable to RC. RC gives advantages to a very, very specific subset of characters and essentially forces a ban. Brinstar just gives the advantage to the person who knows how to abuse the stage the best, which is no different than any other stage.

isnt that the reason why rc is a cp? brinstar might not give a certain character a certain advantage but it is more luck biased imo. not only that but it sorta does give characters like mk, snake, ddd, gnw advantages. but all its bull**** and glitches are just stupid

A characteristic of high-tier characters is that they are good on many stages. Brinstar isn't luck based at all - You always know when the lava is coming, and you know exactly where it will rise to.

RC gives the advantage to characters like MK who have excellent aerial mobility, and terribly shafts many characters. Often if the opponent is an MK you're forced to ban RC. The only time I've heard of people feeling forced to ban Brinstar is against Orion, and that's because he's really, really good at the stage.

Wolf can barely recover with ledges around, how the hell do you think he recovers without them?

a LOT of characters do good on brinstar. marth. DK. pretty much ANY character in the game can abuse the hit box bubbles, and parts on the side and combo off the lava.

the lava gives you plenty of time to know its coming, other than that theres no random events. it has far less BS than randomly falling through the stage at delfino and CS.

not knowing a stage =/= random.

RC is a waste of a ban for most of the cast.

wolf is unviable... i dont really care if one character MIGHT do better on ONE stage.

look at the whole cast and not yourself.

FYI, wolf has options on brinstar.

his shine outspaces mks uair from above, and tornado/SL from underneath are punishable if read/PSed so sharking is good but still limited.

your Bair and dsmash kill REALLY early, and abusing your dsmash on the bubbles against a lot of mks moves to extend the length of the hitboxes greatly helps kill.

wolfs strings of the attack since his horizontal air mobility is greater than mks (and overall ridiculous) makes him abuse being mk being hit off the lava not only easy, but because of the stregnth of his attacks extremely viable.

wolf, as garbage as his recovery is also needs help recovering from the lava sometimes

edit: and platform camping wolf SUCKS in general, but if you get baired at one of the side ones = loss of a stock.

I'm curious on who you think is good there and why it isn't wildly unbalanced in the favor of a few characters, but regardless of your reasoning this is more of a test than anything else and isn't any indication of what it going to happen at future events we hold. We're not unbanning it.

Either that, or I could unban any of Green Greens, Distant Planet, and Jungle Japes along with RC, which are three stages that can be considered to be unbalanced in favor of specific subsets of characters.

Dunno, man. I play Snake and Wolf and don't mind when people counterpick RC against me. Back in the summer (I think), I actually counterpicked this stage against Blackwaltz, as Wolf.

Poor mentality. Sorry, the newest guy on the scene can't get away with complaining about potentially having lackluster odds at profiting. Anyway, you almost beat Shadow last time and you've beaten Atomsk before. I don't see what the problem is. A competitive gamer should be out for blood, not hoping certain people don't show up.

ADHD essentially came out of nowhere and is one of the best Brawl players we have. No johns.

Also, imagine going to another region with the experience you have from NJ.

Yeah, I agree. I keep placing exactly one spot from cash because of those dudes, while I see mediocre players get to win big money all the time because they don't live in a region this good.

Our tiny locals have a large amount of national competition consistently, and it's getting very tiresome. I'm tired of being 4th/5th seed when I'd be 1st seed in ~43 other states lmao...
