I don't think there's many people that can help you with G&W's lag metagame, lol. I'd say nair wall and play keep away. *shrug*

Won a very little local NY tourney yesterday lul:smash:

Beat a notable MK main in the region called Jtails, actually it was my first win on him(WFs/GFs) out of every other local he's beaten me at.
I've been pretty confident in the MK MU recently and it's just a little something I kind of proved to myself yesterday, felt good lol.

Planning to stay consistent and continue to place well in larger tourneys. I got disssss.

Yeah, I avoid lag matches if I know. I want to have a backup in case I do play a lag abuser so I can be a cheap SOB too. Maining Link gives no opportunities to be the cheap one:(.

Q Where should I start vs Wario and CP/ban vs him? Wario's hard for my G&W because his great air movement.

Q2 My weakest game element is landing KOs. G&W dying early makes me nervous to take more and more damage while trading hits but not finishing the opponent. How should I approach trying to KO characters who live forever and survive Fair?

Somewhat old though. You'll want to nair wall, Wario will be jumping and airdodging a lot/dair when approaching so be careful of that.
Wario's tech roll from dthrow is slightly under moderate.
For kills, look for things that many Warios do such as when they're on the ledge, they'll drop double jump airdodge onto the stage, this is so massively overused by average players, also airdodges when landing (although sometimes they will dair if they think it's safe to), etc.

Reading is definitely one of the better ways to go. Look for obvious airdodges when landing, rolls, dthrow follow ups, wait for them to make a mistake or patterns, and exploit them.

EDIT 2: PentaSalia 9'd me in a ladder match, 0-death :'(

EDIT 3: I 9'd someone in a ladder match and ended up winning the set... ^^

Hey guys. Could one of you please explain the gaw-MK MU for me, please. I want to know what should I do to fight him adequately and be successful. I see her out-priotirizes a few of my attacks (main aerials, which is what I use 90% of the time).

My strategy is to run away and land spaced B-Airs and N-Airs. I run away to the ledge and Up-B when he's close or trying to edgeguard it. I kill him with a F-Air when he's coming back.

You have a guaranteed dsmash out of dthrow on MK if he doesn't tech, and a guaranteed fsmash if you correctly guess which side he's going to land on (if he DIs, he can land on the other side of you. If he doesn't DI, he'll land in front) if he doesn't tech.
Dtilt stuffs his dash attack and dash grab really easily.
Be ready to DI Dsmash, it's not fun to DI downwards and die at low percentages.
Look for reads or patterns such as airdodge onto the stage, crossups between dthrow techs.

Pick stages you think you can play better on than your opponent's MK and that you're comfortable with. Usually I pick Battlefield but it's personal preference.

EDIT: I wish I knew more about this lol. Usually I go ICs against MK :|

Up b out of tornado. And angle it up and away. Just mash on the b button. Also, he has a crappy fall speed, use a lot of uair. Dthrow dsmash is a guaranteed hit unless he techs it.

Also, at low percent you can dthrow>dair>regrab if he doesn't tech. That's always fun to pull off.

Also it's up to you whether you want to use skype or not, I only go on to talk with the occasional brawl person, ask for matches and talk in marf chat.

Q I played a G&W ditto and painfully discovered that Usmash beats Dair even though Dair has longer disjoint. Is G&W's Usmash like Mario's where his hear is invulnerable while the attacks out or something?

An awesome 9 to do is to slide halfway accross the PS2 ice stage while doing it after something like a Dtilt. Done it twice.

Oh and in both cases the wii was full so I couldn't save it :)
Just like my first, and only, 9 I have landed in a tournament match, netting me the kill at under 20%.

I've gotten quite a few tournament 9s

But It's probably because of how much I use Side-B. I like my over usage of side-b i feel like it defines part of my playstyle.

One of my favorite 9s was on an unhcked wii so I couldn't save it. I was playing a Snake on BF and I was punishing his landing so I just stood there and i read his airdodge so I side-b'd in the opposite direction and as he was coming out of his air dodge frames he landed right into the 9.

but it is what it is and stuff.

It's kind of hard to intercept MK's B moves with Up-B on wifi. :V

Fortunately not. It would've been too embarassing.

Then again, lag made me SD costing me two stocks in that match...which is the embarassing part.

Trying to start playing online again... I don't read or think as hard as I used to. I think without online or consistent practice (because my training buddy quit) i'm actually getting worse...

And now i've also forgot how to play my secondary (peach), Things aren't looking good for me for this weekend's tourney =/

Maybe I won't try and just get some MK/Marth practice or something

G&W/MK is sooooo easy online compared to offline.

And it's pretty damn fun offline.

Guys, I know Snake isn't that bad, but I'm just terribad at the MU. Like, I have these shining moments, but then, BAM! Utilt to the face, outranging my fair. Huge anti-momentum move.
Help.
