This smash I haven't really had anyone I've really wanted to be included as a newcomer, but looking back at gameplay of Pac Man World games which I used to love to play, I think he'd be incredibly fun to put in and I hope he'll be included. Pac-Man doesn't talk last time I checked (Correct me if this has changed), so it wouldn't be a problem to make a Ms. Pac-Man alt costume if that's still the case.
Pac-Man for SSB4!
Welcome to the club, Pac-Supporter! ..and since seems you're a Pac-Man fan with little knowledge of his modern days (no offense, please); I say: he does talk! (and a lot!).. and didn't take a while for start, actually, in Pac-Man World 3 he has a full voice acting during all the game, and all the cutscenes involves a lot of dialogue just with him and Orson (the Ghost),... the funny thing is, even he being officially, at that time, the "Mr." Pac-Man (whose is already married and have a son), his mature and "senior" voice doesn't really fit to him, imo... he just so caricatured and has a such strong "cute appeal", that that voice doesn't seem right for him. (and another point is that, when he takes a hit, a more common "Oh!" is heard, basically in the same tone of his voice in Pac-Man Party, lol).
and after that, with a better "kid" voice, he was fixed in the phase of catch phrases, yells and noises like Mario.. he says his "Yeah!", "Alright!", and such... He got an update of visual twice in Pac-Man Party, and after in Street Fighter X Tekken as a special guest in the Tekken's side ... in this era, he's represented as kid, and not-so-much structured world was used for the boards of Pac-Man Party.
Nowadays, he's back (literally "Pac is Back" is the marketing target) with full power, .. and got a enterly reboot. He has a new TV Show geared at children called "Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures", and got a new concept of world and story. He's also represented as teen (I guess, ... between 13 or 15 years old), and his voice pleases me (not everyone, I suppose), .. is hoarse and brings a tone of immaturity at times, is what I think ideal for his current interpretation. =)
Here's something I just thought of. What would your reaction be if Sakurai's Namco team enjoyed the project so much that they go on to make a Shash-inspired Bandai-Namco crossover? They could even have Mario come for a guest appearance for Nintendo console versions of the game.
heh, I would love... and then, Pac-Man fans, "Tales of" fans, and Klonoa fans would live together without conflict XD... and then, people whose would discussing about which Nintendo character should be in the game, would feel the situation of how better Mario alone would represent Nintendo; is our case with Pac-Man and NAMCO. =)
