Placed 5th in teams today and 7th in singles at Nebulous today. Beat IQHQ Fire, Mike Kirby and 2 Stocked Snakee Rosalina. Lost to Mr. E in losers. I need to get better at unfamiliar match ups. I hoped to today showed that Pac-Man vs Rosalina isn't a terrible match up and that Abadango's overly safe playstyle got the best of him at Apex. Wish I got to play Jtails and DKWill in singles. Maybe next time.

Here is the pro bracket link.

How would you say Kirby does against Pac? How was fighting Mike Kirby as well?

It's a tough match up for Kirby. I played him again for the second time. It was fun.

It may seem small, but I just got timed out yesterday by 4% against Craig's Rosalina. Super close and every 2% counts.

Super defense vs Rosalina works if you do it correctly.
Wow. 4%?! thats crazy man.

I started using fade away fairs to pressure Rosa. She can't do anything because luma nair out of shield comes out fast but has no range. also fair nair chain across the stage is a true combo when luma is gone since her nair comes out so late.

33rd of 743 : Super Smash Con : Chantilly, VA 8/7 - 8/8

Started off winning my pool, beating Wizzrobe 2-0 in Winner's Finals. Then won my first match in round 2 pools before losing in in 3 games 2-1 to Raptor, then got 2-0'd next game in loser's bracket by Azen's Lucario. Since Azen is kind of an original Smash god, I wasn't shocked by that result >.>

Placed 5th at Nebulous today. Beat Frozen (Rosalina) and other players. Lost to Dill Shiek and Zorai Shiek. I SD against both of them. I was playing so well then it went down the drain. I'll get them next time. I'm getting used to the gravitational pull from Rosalina. I beat the 2nd and 3rd best Rosalinas. One day I'll face Dabuz. Congrats to Jtails for taking the tournament.

Here is the standings.

Loss to KJ(sonic) and BC(best villager in Houston)

Here's game 1 of me and BC, I would say the MU is 60:40 in villager favor because he can zone us out fairly easy (no pun intended) and he can pocket everything but our Trampoline. P.S BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR HYDRANT PLACEMENT, I learned the hard way

Hi guys, I've been lurking these boards for a while. I main Pac-Man and compete in Europe, here are some results this year, I will be posting more results from future tournaments.

Video of a match: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X59OhNjOinw a strong UK Rosalina and Luma user knocked me out of this tournament, the character's an obstable to get over and after seeing my match I think I should of been more patient and selective using items besides from avoiding other mistakes like the Town and City moving platform. Please, any advice to help with matchup would be appreciated. As frustrating as Rosalina and Luma can be I just sense in a way Pac-Man has a way around her, who's got ideas? It is inspiring to see other results on here, it really makes me want to to improve.

Don't rely on PP to recover. Rosalina can snatch it from you, leaving you with only trampoline. If Rosalina knows the MU, you are probably dead if this happens. Don't charge fruit at the expense of recovery flexibility in this MU.

You throw your fruit way too haphazardly against a character that can steal it so easily. Calculate your tosses more.

Prioritize KO'ing Luma more. Dair can combo it off the stage easily. A dropped hydrant will always put Luma into tumble, meaning that any ledge grab by Rosalina should = a dead Luma.

You have no real reason to airdodge above Rosalina when your hydrant is available. If she GP's it, she wastes time + gives you a chance to heal.

If you don't want to play the grueling stall fest like I do, others have said aggro can work against Rosalina. In that's the case, I'd focus on getting fruits in my hand safely.

9th out of 78 :: Game Underground Monthly Smash03 (WiiU) :: Natick, Massachusetts :: 10/03/15

I lost to Marth in winners. It's a matchup I have been having a lot of trouble with. I definitely played it wrong, I should have ran at him and trampoline and used heavy trampoline in neutrals. I won game 1 and in game 2 he caught on to my rolling habbits and punished me pretty heavily.

A lost to Falcon is losers. I knew I should have switched to Lucina for game 2 but I chickened out. Last match I got spiked and fruit charge came out instead of up b. Beyond pissed about that.

Well just like last time I'm neither happy nor disappointed with my results. I was playing friendlies and it proved what I've suspected for a long time, my 3ds controller is messed up and needs to be fixed(it was sticking). Also a word of advice people is that when you take a game from a top player ban the stage you won on, deny them to chance to prove to themselves a slight adaptation is all they need to defeat you. I forgot to do that in winners but I think I won a set in losers because of that XD

Placed 2nd at Nebulous Prime 9 today beating Players like Wes, Mike Kirby and Nick C Captain Falcon ( the same Falcon I lost to last week) .

I lost to Vinnie in Winners Finals and Grand Finals. I almost got him in Winners Finals. I got the weak hitbox of upsmash after I hit him with the bell unfortunately. The games were mad close. I'm glad I played well today.

Here are the standings,

I must have really improved. Last two tournaments I've only lost to the top players in the region. I am wondering how well I'd do if I were to go back and play in Tri-State

5th out of 71 ::Smash on the Hill VI (WiiU) :: Boston, Massachusetts :: 10/18/15

I lost to the players who took 1st and 2nd at this. In winners I lost to Rob.I completely forgot my game plan game1 for this matchup and I lost pretty badly game 2 I did much better but lost my second stock prematurely to a hard read. When we were doing RPS to decide the striking order this guy totally delayed option until after he saw mine. I let it go as to not cause a fuss. But the very next time this happens I'm calling for a redo.

I lost to Sonic in losers. I really wish this matchup was caught on stream because for the very first time I can remember I don't think I lost to a flub or playing the matchup wrong, my opponent was simply a stronger player than I am and played much better than I did. He clearly did know the matchup though because he was doing punishes on me I had never seen before.

At my currently level I think I did the very best of what I am capable of. It would be impossible for me to have progressed any furthur considering who was left in bracket. I'm proud of me.

On a side note I am now convinced that Luigi and Link are matchups we do absolutely fine in.

Edit: A sight error in the bracket is that I beat Rookie 3-1, not 3-0

I'll try to go. The problem is getting there.
Oh right the location kinda sucks. You can take the train into New Brunswick, but from there you either need to do a frustratingly long walk or take a taxi. its probably just better to carpool.

Who did mike Kirby use this time? I don't remember you ever losing to his Kirby before
third game went to a time out with me and Mike Kirby at 117%. We played one stock after that and I got reckless and he Down B me.

Edit: the main problem I had vs Mike Kirby today was me rolling away and getting grabbed. I should have charged fruit into grab cancel to grab him instead.

Who does atomsk play in this game? And were the matches close?
He went Mario against me. I thought he would go DDD but whatever. It was 2-1. Then Tweek went Wario against me instead of Bowser Jr. . It was 2-1.

4th out of 46 at my region's major weekly.

Lost to Shiek(I'm gonna train my Toon Link for that matchup) and the number 1 Ryu in New England.

I managed to beat Xorn( Toon Link) who is a strong contender for top 10 in the current ranking seasons PR. He was also talking a lot of crap about me online :p

My losers quarters and loser semis sets were recorded. I'll post em once they are uploaded.

Go to battle field against shiek and place the hydrant in the middle. It's very frustrating for her. you can also platform camp.
