:ohwell: Harold, you know your kind of a jerk right? I told you I'm not coming to the bi-weekly, and it kind of falls into the "something horrible" catagory that I agreed to work friday night. (though I'm not sure why I said yes) Anyway, someone better kick Harold's *** so he can stop the gloating.

lol I dont think you really need to learn marth just for lucas. Also you might want to be somewhat efficient with him since just going for the grab might not work all the time. Seems like Ottawa likes Marth, or you all just wanna be like me :p.

Hmmm... A $200 money match, eh? Well, $200 would be a bit much but I'm totally down for an epic best of five $100 money match. Decide by tomorrow evening so I know to train (play Brawl - something I haven't done since last Smashfest) or not. Seriously.

I think it makes the most sense that after various matches with Harold, that Old Manondof is the best counter for him :p. I've won all but a couple matches against harold. So screw Martha and her infinite, you need grey hair and some lessons in PAIN!.

Why is everyone looking for sleeping arangements? The tourney starts at 11, so that's plenty of time to get there. Also, The tourney would probably end at around 10-11, and the buses still run that late, right?

Just to chill afterwards I suppose, rather than rush off but its up to the person. Some of us might be driving there as well, its better to be well rested.

Going to a tournament is to usually meet up with people, so staying over at someones house is good because you get play them afterwards and share the lulz.

By the way guys, please bring some pens, paper, notebooks, and a lunch box to the biweekly tomorrow because I'm taking you all to SCHOOL!

By the way, to those who complain that Brawl is broken and such, please go download GGPO (which you should have done already - if you haven't Jesus will hate you) and play some X-Men vs. Street Fighter matches. They're funny in how crazy they get.

So I think the tripping code is working... just not the way I wanted it to. I was hoping for there to be an easy way of tripping 100% of the time, but it turns out it's way easier to just make it not happen.

All I wanted was to enhance the greatest feature in Brawl, but we'll have to deal with it being removed instead. Hopefully no one will cry because of this.

Also, the hackers are going pretty crazy with this thing:

Hah, thats some pretty cool stuff. I would also like to try out the all the time tripping option, should make for some good lulz. It would be nice to see some l-cancelling, just to see how broken some chars would be.

"Oh yeah, sadly I will not be able to go to the Montreal tournament. All of my supervisors (who should download GGPO + Third Strike) at work just so happened to have booked it off, leaving me, and nobody else, to cover them. Apparently two weeks notice is rarely enough.

Of course, I could just pull a Derek...
"

There are 51,534 available jobs in Ontario. There is only one Montreal Tournament. You know what to do.

if the bi-weekly doesn't go until midnight again, anyone want to play some 3s afterwards?

also, cam, we need to play some go

also, i'm ok with team metaknight (though I really would preffer 'rojo caliente', check it up on youtube... it's what happens when a spoiled girl gets daddy to give her the money to make a music video)

I have a bit of a problem. I was called into work tomorrow from 4-8 so unless the doubles could start around 8:30 I will not be able to make the doubles section. Would it be possible to start the Singles first? Get back to me Fogel.

Pull a Derek.

Also, I've been thinking about this, and I came to the conclusion that it is best for the community if we recorded the Finals for the bi-weekly. It would be fun to relive those matches, and I know some people might want to study them :p.

i second the recording idea, but I only have my cellphone... if I brought my computer i could record the matches, but then i'd have to bring my comp and I don't really want to do that (plus i think there might be a slight recording lag)

anyways, anyone have the tech for that?

Actually, Cam has recorded matches in the past. But I'm assuming he stopped because of the number of hours needed to do it. So if we constantly bug him to do it, he might cave and do it.

...

Or someone else can bring the stuff. I know I can't -_-

oh ya, rainbow road, seen that before lol... i'm surprised no one has rickrolled anyone recently... maybe that's a sign of it fading out of popularity

also a warning about 3s, i'm terrible on non-arcade... even sticks i can't quite get the hang of, and i am down right terrible with a controller... but i still love playing so :)

You could always go old school and use VHS! Hahaha! Or if someone has a good Digital Camera or Camcorder. Screw this hi-tech business.

Also need to know if starting Doubles at 8:30 is possible or not.

i don't mind doing doubles second, give me time to warm up, and i'll know if I have to try my hardest to get my cash back by winning doubles or if andrew and I can bowzer/bowzer for the win :)

I will have doubles second just for you Joblin.

As for recording the matches, I have a vcr and tuner so I can put matches up. However, I don't have much free time for the near future, so don't expect them to be up very soon.

I'm probably going to miss singles today, but I will be there for doubles. I have to drive to Kingston to pick up an army buddy for 5:00 PM, so I should be back in Ottawa around 7:00 - 7:30. I'm not sure if my crew will be there without me for singles, but I imagine so.

EDIT: Plans changed. His ETA is around 9 or so now, so I'll probably be able to make singles and not doubles.

I wanted to do doubles WAY more, now that Knuckles and I have perfected the ultimate doubles team that's not MK / MK or Snake / Snake or any combination thereof. :(

Rawr!

I'm not dead yet, and asides from being able to say I have a competitive Yu-Gi-Oh! deck, I have some really cool news for you Fogel. I'm coming back to Ottawa on the 28th and I'll be living in a duplex with my brother and his friend. The funny part is that it's right beside (literally) Algonquin College, and if my Google Map skills are up to par, that puts me 4 km away from your house ^_^. If memory serves correct, Cbone/Phrozn/SAUS are also somewhat close to you, so I might be able to get plenty of smash in in the up-and-coming year :)

See you guys in a few weeks. I've also picked up a bit of MTG with YGO, so in between smash I'd be down with some games of both.

SCRAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

Or since I main Kirby in Brawl:
HHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!! *Kirby dance*

The actual tournament starts at 7:30, this time we are doing singles first and doubles second, however smashfest usually starts at 5:00 if you wanna show up early for some warm up/friendlies.

You can use the travel planner if you are busing, assuming you know the address.
