You keep going on like "my clan will beat your clan" "NUU MAI CLAN IS BETR!" "MY CALN OWNZ UOR CLAN!" when we have no confirmation of Wi-Fi.
It's times like this I don't want Wi-Fi just so I can laugh at people like you.

Lol at this post. I've decided to stop and I believe that Brawl will have online Wi-fi. People are just getting too worried about it. We'll only know who's better when we battle. That's it.

At least he's on the game, but yeah he's not a playable character. Well, it can't be helped. Sakurai's development just isn't that awesome imagination to create such a God Tier character.

You send a thing to your friends who have the game (which they can choose not to receive), and they use it to buy things that have absolutely no affect on the actual gameplay.
That's literally everything that Prime 3 does with online.

Yeah, I'd say it's 50/50 chance... might be, might not be, and we got no information whatsoever to help us get any insight into it.
If it does go online though, then I hope I get the chance to battle some kirby pro's and learn from them...
Mained with Kirby in the original, maining Kirby (Roy as 2nd main) in melee, will main Kirby again in brawl! (probably without Roy as 2nd main this time though... I think he's not gonna make it)

Apparently the same thing that Nintendo has thought for a while now concerning online play. For whatever reason, they just don't like it. A foolish stance, to be sure, but I don't think it's affected Wii sales very much.

Shadnexus and I can't battle well if online's going to be garbage. If what Coro Coro is saying is true, we'll be able to battle each other. There better be lobbies to select your character and mix up options. The Wii headset will probably only be used to talk to people on your Wii friend code list or if there's an option to hear the person you're going up against to unmute him. Nintendo's making a big mistake if they miss up Brawl online.

Apple joos, I know where you're coming from, but maybe if Nintendo had this device where it detected such modding and didn't let the person go online, that'd be sweet. Well, that's the risk others like Shadenexus and I are willing to take. At least I know he won't use such cheats against me. Same goes for me. The battle's outcome will be based on skill.

I believe there are quite a few topics about clans and rakings, but anyway, if brawl does have teh online battles, the smash comminity will get very competitive. kinda like the pkmn, diamond and pearl community. even if there were no rankings, an online smash comminity will thrive anyway. QUOTE]

Online clans and the like are nice to look forward to. There is no ranking system for Brawl since Sakurai wants it to be simple. At least I can play people on my Wii code when I get my Wii.

I have only recently been playing melee useing advanced tects. i intend to become the greatest SSB player in the world. I dedicate all of my time to studying this game.

When brawl does go online, how many players do you think will play it?
I would like a ranking ladder system so that i can see my rank improveing as i play.
Will there be clan wars? and how competive will this game really be?

Finally! The update confirms online play. Maybe one of the options are clans or somewhere along the lines of that since Sakurai said that he would be coming up with more options for it. That way, online clanwars can happen. We can just take about clans in here.
