Olimar's best players... are not as far ahead as some people think.

Olimar players usually look alike when we watch matches, but we all use little things that make our style of playing A LOT different from each other. Ive watched alot of pro player oli matches, and oli doesn't look much different from what i do, but I'm not that good, and lose quite often when i shouldn't. This means, our Oli is in a rut. We keep doing the same stuff, and nothing is changing, therefore we are all at the same-ish level with playing styles. The pros and the casuals of oli are not that different. We need to learn new combos, perfect pikmin lineups, de-sync techs, anything that can boost up our game, so we can do better.

The thing that makes us different us that Better Oli'ds are smarter. Oli has quite the linear playstyle, and it wont look very different from other people. I would think I am doing somehing Differently but I really aint. We all spam, we all grab/pivot grab, we all Fsmash, we all Nair -> w/e, we all whistle, we all Uair and we all Usmash.

Some differences that I've noticed is the quantity of whistle and Fsmash use as well as Fair use. Also I noticed slight differences in recovery and getting down to the stage from above. Other than that we really all play the same. The major difference is how smart we are compared to other Oli's. This includes knowing when to sheild/use a certain move/better processing of options/greater prediction ability/etc. I get kinda frustrated when I see another Olimar win and he doesnt do anything different. And thats cause he isnt really, he is just smarter and knows what to do and when to do it with the greatest chance of success.

I watch Logic play Wario's all the time and I still don't get how he does it. It is more than often better for me to practice vs a wario than to watch Logic **** one

wario is easy, it's a hit and run type of matchup, utilt when he tries to approach via arial, and uair if he is above you. other than that, spam pvg as if it were gnw. predict if he is going to approach with dair and then run away before he hits the ground, if eh does dash grab him. or just utilt his first dair. it's a pretty basic mu, just don't get impatient

pretty much myself, richbrown, p~s, blackwaltz, dabuz, we all play so much different than each other. I'v seen most of these players (except the legendary rich xD), play irl and i see them do things I would never even have fathomed possible...because it was so different from what I'm used to doing. I completely disagree with all olis play the same. Maybe on the lower level, because a lot of them think all you do is nair smash pivot grab and spam cstick, but that is not the case (unless you are dabuz :D, who does spam cstick but has probably the best pseudo follow ups i'v seen)

At Genesis, Praxis told me that Weruop and I are practically opposites of each other. He said against Weruop he felt safe when he was far away from him, but unsafe up close, but with me it was the opposite

Wer taught me some tricks that really helped my game. I just kinda picked em up from playing loads of friendlies.

lol, the fact that I'm even considering traveling across the country to play a video game is pretty ridiculous. But hopefully I'll be good enough to really **** at Apex, my placings have gradually gone up for the most part ever since I started playing this game :o

My first time playing against an Olimar: "Why is that ****** pointing at me, how is that different from when he pointed up earlier? Ahhhh, f*ck I'm being hit by a plant!"
