Olimar Support [Pikmen]

Didnt we determine it would be revealed at E3 08? Along with say, a new Kid Icarus game?

Anyway, Pikmen, I have a distressing problem I cannot get an answer for and need your help.

I CANT VIEW YOUTUBE VIDEOS

Every time I go to youtube, and click on a video, I can see everything on the video's page (comments, ratings, info, etc. etc.) except for the video itself.

In place of that, I see "You either have javascript disabled, or need to install the latest flashplayer)

I installed the latest flash, but still have that message pop up and no video.

How do I enable my javascript?

Or is it something else?

@ Green Pikmin in Pikmin 3: Yes, they I don't care what they do!, my fav color, I also see us having more parasitic Pikmin(You throw them inside enemies to mind control them, like bulbmin), and possibly general(they'd be mini-Olimar) Pikmin

Oh right the "Pikmen". I've yet to be accepted by that but it's ok I guess. I haven't really added anything to the forum other than responses. Meh. Not like I have the game though. Anyway, thanks so much Kafke!

I know i'm basically the newest pikmen we've got, but if that means anything Ocean I feel you do a good bit around here and certainly deserve consideration.

Anyway, I was already planning on some form of "You spin me right round baby..." depending on the max length we get =) Another one for sure is going to be "Eat Your Veggies!"

If you're running a noscript addon, you'll need to enable youtube AND ytimg for videos to work.

I have no idea what discussion goes on in this thread anymore because I stopped visiting it once we got our own Olimar board.
But anyways, I also didn't think this warranted it's own thread:

Surfer Girl: There is a Pikmin Wii

Note: The picture above is only a fan made box art for Pikmin 3, and is not official, if you seriously can’t tell.

I’ve haven’t been this happy since the announcement of Brawl. I commented a few questions on the internet famous Surfer Girl’s blog, most of the other questions were a little too in detailed, so I didn’t get very good answers. One of the questions I asked was, “Is there a Pikmin Wii in development, and when will we hear news about it?” Her reply was “Yes, probably this year.”

Although most will likely say “This is obvious, and we knew it was coming” I just want to say yes, it was a little obvious, especially with Captain Olimar in Brawl, but, at the moment, this is the closest thing to an official conformation, seeing how many times Surfer Girl has started rumors that have become true. My prediction is that we will get an official announcement at E3, and that it will release this year.

I know there are alot of people who don’t believe Surfer Girl is right at all, so for those who don’t believe this is true, you can leave this as a rumor, but my prediction stands where it is.

If this is true, today is the happiest day of my pitiful life :D

Great find, Yigguth! I really, really hope that we see Pikmin 3 this year. Come on, the Wii controller was MADE for the world's finest RTS/Adventure series! And the possibility for wi-fi multiplayer might be a little TOO awesome. :chuckle:

Yes! Woot! If this is true, and if by some miracle, that is the box art, I am one happy monkey (humans are technically primates, remember...)

Although, the one thing that would irk me, would be Louie coming back...for some reason, I just did not like Louie....

But of course, there would have to be new Pikmin types, I like the idea of spliced Pikmin, and green parasitic Pikmin...

Well Pikmen, we hoped for Olimar in Brawl, and we got him. Now we must set our sights on Pikmin 3!

And my youtube still doesnt work... I tried EVERYTHING. I swept my system, disabled and re-enabled my javascript, followed the instructional video on the website, downloaded a new java, did EVERYTHING I could think of, and still cannot view youtube videos...man, this is really awful

Dude, Louie is awesome! His unique personality brought hilarity to Pikmin 2's storyline and the ability to toggle between the two characters added a new layer of depth to the gameplay. What's not to like?

For me it would be parasitic pikmin. That simple inclusion would bring in an explosion of new depth to the game, just think of the idea of having a bulborb in your army. They'd have to be super rare though. After that there isn't really any other kind of pikmin I think would make a good inclusion if you can just have any monster in the game

And yes, thats how the parasitic Pikmin should work.

I'm pretty sure that's official art from Pikmin 2 with "Pikmin 3" slapped on it

Nah, the Pikmin 2 box looks very, very different. Theyre ina forest setting, Olimar is throwing a blue Pikmin at a candypop flower, there are purple and white PIkmin walking around, Louie is taking a dip in a pond.

This is soooo different, It's amazing they made that themselves...unless this IS the official box...

I know what the Pikmin 2 box looks like, I own it >_>. He's not throwing a pikmin at a candypop flower, he's throwing a pikmin at a hermit crawmad.
Now, what I WAS talking about was the fact that EVERY nintendo game that comes out also has official artwork to hype it up before release.
EDIT: that image was actually one of the wallpapers that was released on the pikmin website before pikmin 2 came out...

So we now have that image, the gif video in the WAC thread by HAB, and the olimar spin... I feel like those three are ASKING to be combined in a small comic. This is Olimar (normal Olimar picture) This is drunk invincible Olimar (WAC gif) This is Olimar on crack (DK bulging Olimars' eyes pic) This is Olimar on ecstasy (Olimar spins right round gif)... May even be better if you took the weird color changing olimar spinning video instead for the last one. I'm sure you guys can do even better, but I wouldn't know where to start so just throwing the idea out there. =P
