I will set this up in Q n' A fashion. The reason I made this is I'm tired of people calling Olimar cheap and nooby. It wasn't easy to learn him, you know!
Complaint: All you do is spam smashes and grabs!
Response: Wrong. This is by far the most common john people use against us. Grabs are used to set up combo's and smashes for either racking damage or killing. I don't know what got into your head that makes you think that's all we did, but experienced Olimar players don't spam. If you fought against a nooby smash and grab spammer and lost, then you have no right to complain if you lost to that noob.
Complaint: Olimar is overpowered/cheap!!!
Response: Ah, this brings me back to the early days of brawl when people underestimated Olimar. All we've done is shown you that all characters have potential, you can't overlook any of them. We took this presumably "bad" character, and turned him into a force to be reckoned with. Also, many of the people who say that Oli is overpowered are the same people that don't edge guard against him. If you're not going to take advantage of his biggest flaw, then you can't really complain, now can you?
Complaint: You camp too much!
Response: With Olimar, I wouldn't call it camping. Olimar is a mostly defensive character, so it would be stupid not to take advantage of that.
Complaint: YOUR PIKMIN GOT IN THE WAY OF MY SHUTTLE LOOP / OTHER ATTACK I DID.
Response: First of all, Pikmin take up 2 of Olimar's special attacks just to throw, and an additional special if you want to know what order they're in, so think about that sacrifice us Olimar mains have to make. Also, it's been covered before that Olimar is a defensive character. His pikmin are meant to get the enemy to approach, whether it be through having your pikmin take their projectiles for you, or through pressuring them to approach. Besides, maybe your shuttle loop got in the way of my pikmin...
Complaint: Olimar is gay!
Response: Only Nintendo character to have gotten laid.
