Lastnight I had this dream that for some reason I went to the Oh Snap venue room on the day of, and a sign said to go to the Stubbman Village place by the dorms. I went over there, and instead of the stripmall with a papa johns, there was a landscape of Oklahoma red earth, it was hilly and muddy, but there was no vegetation but a few scrubby bushes. there was a doorway, but it just stood there in the mud with more red dirt on the other side. Even though I had just come across the street from the university, the landscape looked desolate, dirty, and undeveloped.

I went into the doorway and there were a bunch of out of state smashers there early with their setups, maybe 30 or so. They looked upset, but were happy to see me there so I could get registration going. There weren't any electrical outlets but somehow they were playing friendlies on their setups. As time went on and I began registration, people began to come in until well over 100 people were there in the dirt playing smash brothers.

I couldn't tell whether it was melee or brawl because in dreams your mind fails to reconstruct multiple complex scenes clearly, but there was 1 female in the entire group, and she was for some reason playing a CPU. All the sudden my tag was on the CPU, I was Toon Link, and the level looked like pokemon stadium fire zone, but it had more scaffolding and platforms, and the landscape looked identical to the red dirt we were playing in. She started attacking my character and so I ran over there and plugged picked up the controller to fight her.

She smashed my Toon Link with her undefined character and my toon link actually flew off the screen and onto the dirt next to the TV. I seemed not to take notice of this as her character, now clearly Melee style ganondorf barraled out of the television at my toon link. (I don't even play Toon Link or brawl mind you)

Well I seemed not to be astounded by the fact our characters had left the television, but more by the fact that because there was no longer a ledge or edge of the screen, that neither of us could be KOd and the damage would just go to 999 and top out. So I forfeited the match and set the controller down because Sars_Pirate (Yawara) had just showed up. (I also never forfeit so..weird)

Sars said there was a tour bus out there that had previously reserved our venue, which of course was just a bunch of red dirt. I went out there with him and told them the situation, that there was nothing here but red dirt and we don't know how our tournament ended up here, but it was a very large tournament and so there was no way we could move well over 100 people out of there in any reasonable amount of time since they were all in the middle of matches.

The people seemed very upset that there was only dirt there, Then I walked back through the doorway (dont ask me why I am using the door, since there are no walls, roof, floor, or building whatsoever).

Once I walked over to the registration table to look at TIO, i looked up from my laptop and the entire venue of red dirt all the sudden was in a warehouse, all the setups and people were in the exact same place, but a warehouse had spawned on top of us. I went into the next room where there were no setups before, and found a dining hall, there was a fat guy eating in there. Then I went back to the room with setups to start a melee match and woke up.

A few notes/rules
  2. Show up any time, this will be going late, I know po, irish, and lord gaga wont be in until later.
  3. Alcohol is allowed, but not provided. A few peeps are making a liquor store run around 8:00 for beer or liquor, if you want drink please bring cash for the fund, or your own flask for yourself. If you get hungry there is a Taco Bell 1 block away open till 4AM I'm way to poor to feed you all or I totally would!
  4. Anything that is smoked must be done so on the back porch.
  5. Logan (my little brother) wants to watch a football game part of the time, as such one of my 4 usable monitors will be out of commission from like 7-9, thats fine but one more TV that wasn't miniscule might be nice. I assume most people are bringing at least some sort of partial setup. (he would also probably like to visit the back porch so be sure and invite him)
  6. I have a projector, its working with Melee right now and awesome.
  7. I may or may not be short on seating space, if you have a lawn chair or a pillow that might be nice. My couch faces my laggy TV which will be off with a projector in its place facing the couch.
  8. Dual Cats: my youngest brother dipped out so don't worry about him.
  9. Outlaw: come.
  10. Kos Mos: make my peach better.
  11. Zinth is always allowed to be red, I prefer white, except when I'm teaming with Zinth in which case his redness overcomes my whiteness by its divine omnipotence.
  12. Daisy is banned. (That stupid *unt)

So I'll be there sometime after 6. Hopefully some brawl peeps are there, otherwise I'm just going to have to step up my Melee game and only get 3-stocked by Chris's Fox (as opposed to 4-stocked).
