Oklahoma Thread: Weekly events for all games in OKC and Tulsa

Secondarys: Fox, Marth (what a cheap *******), Jigglypuff, Game&Watch, and Roy.

My IC kick *** man, Im so proud of them. There are a couple of moves that are critical for them to learn that I havent quite gotten ahold of yet. The ledge hopped wavedash, and the grab to charged smash attack. Chaingrabbing with them is still pretty hard, but I consider the other 2 that I mentioned harder.

Man, Jigglypuff is hard to use, but once you can use her, she is really good. Zinth, Ill be looking forward to a ditto match with Jiggs, same to you shade (with roy though).

Cant wait to see how my IC's do against everybody's characters! I really wanna see how they do against shade, Muahahahaha, dont get grabbed!!!!

If you beat sethlon in a roy ditto, would you be the better roy? of course not.

The better player is the one who places higher in tournament. That's all that matters.

A simple roy ditto is not reflective of how you would do in tournament compared to him.


Then of course some dittos are so bad that they take no skill and focus on cheap junk, like Marth dittos. Sheik dittos are bad as well. It's just chain throwing.

Unfortunately their right roster, in dittos the one that can take advantage of the simple things that make the character cheep to the other the most ussually wins. Take it at MLG no offence shanx.

The fox clearly had double the tech skill, double the mindgames, and much better controll, no doubt the higher of the two players. Though if shanx grabbed the fox, all he had to do was up throw to F smash and that was a life off of the fox, since shanx isn't to bad at edge gaurding. i know its not a ditto, but thats the same basic thing.

Any way, yah KOS-MOS my fox has been slipping, I simply don't find him enjoyable like the other characters, though if you can beat him, then show me. It should be fun. lol.

Ahh lets see, My main..... hmm well Marth, but not by far. And my secondary's change alot, oh well try and name them in how I like to use them.

Secondary: Samus, Falco, Zelda, Roy, Link, Fox, I can use everyone like vega can, but I like those characters the most lol.

And feel free to Roy ditto me anytime Roster, I don't mind fighting with roy all day if thats what it takes for you to get better and have some fun lol.

I agree some dittos are gay as hell, but in my experience Roy dittos have been really fun. I wanna see how my roy fairs against your Marth T"G"M, apperently Seth can beat it with Roy, so he really does no sound hard at all. Hmmm, T"G"M kinda reminds me of Husband....Are you husband?

none taken, shade. I'm actually kind of proud of myself, considering that was my first tournament and all. It's kind of funny though, I remember everyone at rasta's house complaining about marth being a ***** and all, so i took up doc to shut them up. Now i also think marth is a *****.

Also, depending on the circumstances, ditto matches could prove at least 1 of 2 things if neither of you have played as them before.

1. (depending on the character) your resourcefulness. If you use the higher tier charcters, it shows how much you can use your stage to your advantage since it would be a first time thing on using that character, you wouldn't have a definite style.
Or
If you're using a low-tier character, not only would you do above, but you would also have to find the weak points of the character, such as range, or speed, exploit these to your advantage, and make sure that the opponent doesn't do the same to you.
2. Mind games, mind games, mind games. This could prove how good your mind games are i.e. how well you can psyche out your opponent or how well you can trap them into doing what you whant your opponent to do, and not have the same thing happen to you.

Knowing what you know you should shut yout mouth right now. Im not saying that your talking ****. Im not talking ****, but i have played Sethlon for the past 4 years. Yes TGM does lose to Sethlon -=alot=-. Thats becuase Sethlon knows how to play Marths like no other. I would not be surprised in the least bit that Sethlon could take down Shade and Zinth -=no offense=-.

off topic Husband loses to NEO's roy. In some ways Roy can be almost a counter pick to Marth. The only reason i think TGM loses to Sethlon and i dont is that i know what Sethlon is doing most of the time and Sethlon knows how to **** with Marths. There are lots of things Roy can do to Marth that just ****s Marth up. Another thing Seth does not really play anything but Roy. I mean that is the only char he really plays.

Yah, husband loses to Neo's roy, really badly, I was actually referring to him as what Ken would say "He talks alot of ****, hes not that good", that is a direct quote from what ken told me at MLG Dallas. So far, I have not seen anything that would prove The "Great" Marth to have any skill at all. Claiming you guys are the best in Houston, with more people disagreeing with you, makes you guys sound like arrogant *******s. So far everybody has shown some sort of skill, respect. Husband lack's respect to most players, which is why Ken doesnt like him. I dont like The "Great" Marth because he came and talked **** in our thread and his name. The "Great" Marth, Ya, we will see how great he is on the 22nd, if he can come up here before he makes an excuse.

For one thing i am from MAGNOLIA
not houston i live about 50 min away from houston. so dont for the split second consider me houston area.
TGM has already made an excuse about not coming up there becuase of the flood. his dad is making him redo there yard so you can't really just go off saying that he is going to chicken out of it. So what if people dont have respect for husband. You really should not judge someone before you meet them in person.

Rayz: Good, very good
Sethlon: pretty good
Sideeffect: don't know but I've heard ok things
Everybody else: needs work

Of course, you calling yourselves the best in OK doesn't mean much because we don't know how good anybody from Oklahoma is, but most indications point to "needs work"

Biggest indicator is pretty much 0% experience outside of Oklahoma.

Also the vids, while not being akin to a level 7 like TGM said, weren't all that great, and rather slow.

Much more emphasis on the first part though, cause vids are a horrible judge of talent.
