i just made a roy infinite (i think i made it i havent seen it anywhere else)
for most all characters with up bs that arent 2 fast (like marth) dont act as a triple jump (jiggly yoshi) or teleports (like sheik or mew2)

its easiest to practice on a bowser tho (at least thats all ive really practiced it on)
basically i knockem off the edge to where they havto triple jump to get back (but not far enough to where they hav to grab the ledge) and as they up-b onto the stage
i counter
they up b again
i counter repeat that over and over again (prolly works with marths counter 2)
the time between each counter increases eventually so u gotta wach out other than that its awesome

too bad it's not an infinite because if they sweet spot the ledge they can get back...not to mention they'd have to already have tons of damage to need to triple jump back. and...yeah, even if it did work, it's not an infinite. not to mention counter sucks. that's all for now.

actually u can just hit them b4 they hit the ground after a double jump recovery
that way they have to triple jump
and they cant sweetspot a bowser up-b
or a link up-b or a space animal up-b
even if they did theyd hit me
and id hav started the counter at a time theyd hit me
dont try to put down my creations

well, theres so many things they can do depending on which character they're using, like say, if link is close enough, he could just hookshot the ledge, but then again they'd have to be very well at timing and aim on stages like BF. or they could just aviod hitting you and grab the edge,..the pint is, there are much better and more reliable and sure fire options I guess

Well Gt, it technically isn't an infinite, though it does have the potential to keep someone from recovering. However, it is good that you learned it, as it can be a very effective way to edgeguard certain characters. Take Fox and Falco for instance. If you manage to intercept them, especially Falco, with counter while they're up-Bing, it will prove deadly. It's a useful use, keep it in your bag of tricks. However, in time you are going to learn to not counter nearly as much in battle, because it's easy to catch and it will be punished if you miss. It also has no effect on grabs whatsoever, except for making them easier, and grabs are the main assault of most characters. Counter is good situationally, but not good as an offense. In time you will learn the intricacies of combat, and once you do that, I think that you have potential.

In other news, it looks like OHSNAP2 should be hot shizzle. We got pretty much 100% confirmation from Dallas and nearly that from Austin, not to mention interest from Colorado and last, but not least, The Great Marth himself... This should be a VERY interesting tournament.

power ranking points will only be "transferable" from tournaments. this includes mini tournies with 12 or more attendents, all big OOS tournies people go to, and all OHSNAPs. for each win (best out of 3 , not each single win), you will receive 10% of the points that someone has, and they will lose that. for instance, if gravity were to beat shade, gravity would get 18 points, and shade would lose 18. tada!
