i apologize for the double post but unless you have 30 tvs. you WILL not be able to run brawl 1vs1/2vs2/low tier and MELEE 1vs1/2vs2 all in just one day. it cant be done unless you get 30 tvs. Trust me on this, i know.

I trust your judgment. I'm just going to present at least the option to host as many variants as possible, and if we can get enough people interested in any of them (20-30), then we'll probably do it. If it doesn't work out like this, then I'll simply just pull the plug. Obviously, Brawl singles and doubles will be the main focus, and once we pound those out, then we will start taking registrations for the side events and it from there.
And sorry, I meant Kalo. I got confused.
EDIT: Sethlon, I assume you fully anticipate on attending and have already started saving up to visit us? =) You expressed interest weeks ago, and I was just trying to see where you would be housed at if you were to come.

Yeah, I actually thought this tourney would only have Brawl Singles/doubles and Melee singles, but I guess not.
Man, we're gonna need a lot of TVS for this. Hopefully we can get two per pool. And remember, entry fee is voided if you bring a set up.

i see your tourney getting at least 80 people. at all of my HOBOs i have 15 tvs. i allow NO friendlies during tourney and we finish like at 11 at night but start at 2. if you do 1vs1 and 2vs2 with 15 tvs you would get done around 11pm. can you really do melee 1vs 1/2vs2 after that? it would be done around 1am-3am. is that acceptable by OK/kansas people? Will the college allow that? Just some things to think about.
but if you get 20-30 tvs.....i could see squeezing in melee 1vs1 and finishing them befor midnight
im not trying to degrade your abilities or try and run this thing. im just throwing out what i KNOW happens(in texas at least).
EDIT: i just saw SARS post. theres gonna be pools? ok im gonna throw this out a head of time. IMO there needs to be AT LEAST 2 tvs per pool. i went to a San Antonio tourney and some pools had 3 tvs while others had one. And i assume you know you will need a pool leader for each pool just to keep things cleana nd fair.

I assume most people will probably vacate the premises after the Brawl singles and doubles portion of the event is wrapped up. I have the Heritage Room in the Union rented until 2:00 AM, and I plan on getting started at noon (or ASAP if I know OOSers are running late). We'll probably need two or three laptops to run the various brackets, but if it's feasible, I have no problems with doing this. Oklahoma is cool with it if Texas is cool, and Kansas gets no say whatsoever. =) It shouldn't really matter anyway since we're going to be housing almost all of you guys.

I figure there has to be pools just to make the experience more enjoyable, and yeah, I just send out a mass message to OK people involved to basically tell them what you just said before I read what you said lol
We're doing what we can do get about 20 tvs now. I think that's the acceptable minimum at the moment, and OK's ready to show everyone that we can throw tourneys with the best of them.
