So just to be clear who is on the pannel right now and who is in charge of the power rankings right now?

But seriously, there hasn't been any plans yet on anything regarding this. As of right now, it's best to just have a rough estimation similar to the one that lengeta had using his system (as it's still a little early to rank accurately beyond the top two).

I think that for now, since you've had pretty sturdy attendance, you should use this system. Once it becomes a problem, I think a panel will need to attend to it.
I'd much rather have a panel called in for problem solving, rather than deciding the entire list based on biased opinion. Which there has been a ton of in the past.

the layne system provides us with an accurate summary of placement, giving us a great way to set up the power rankings, therefore i agree with Xsyven in that the panel should be used to sort out specific details and the like

Until the 7th tournament, you can never gain points. This means the only way you'll drop rank is when someone does better. Once more tournaments are past, you'll need to keep on top of your game little bit more to keep your ranking up.

That looks great Layne. Nice work.
One thing I noticed though, Waffle's points add up to 43, not 33. Other than that it looks great.

Two other things i noticed... C!Z's should be 4, 17, 25 = 46 and Waffle's shoud be 9, 17, 25 = 51
Sorry if I seem picky, I was just bored and had nothing else to do so I checked all of them. Those are the only mistakes I could see though. Thanks for doing this Layne!

Nooo My Beautiful Ranking!
The lowest possible position at MA3 was 17th, that's why they're slightly higher. I do feel like that needs to be slightly changed myself though. Perhaps you have to have made 3 tournaments before you're on the rankings or something? Not a huge deal though, since it's not affecting the top 10 in any way.
And NP, I enjoy doing it.

quick question. why are C!Z and TSU still on the rankings. one is on a mission and the other no longer plays.

k so in order to get some fervor started for utah power rankings i have come up with a list of my own,
*DISCLAIMER* i don't claim this to be the real power rankings, this is simply a list i came up with, and BTW it is far less mathematical than Layne's
1st-Dai-a
2nd-X
3rd- PC This one was hard, i picked PC above Lada mainly due to PC having a higher consistency
4th Lada
5th- W!LD has proven himself by beating and competing with some of Utah's best
6th- Staz
7th- Kenneth WTF whats he doing here, well kenny seems to be placing better and better as time goes on and as it stands right now i only see him moving up, so after a couple more tourneys he will be pretty high up there
8th- Zeth
9th- Rade
10th- S@G3 due to his 3rd place score, or this would have gone to either FP or Goji
Critique as much as you guys would like, and remeber the disclaimer, But now i encourage all the utah players to come up with top tens of their own, i would really like to see the rest of the states views on the rankings, so please have at it!

allright how about this instead, yuo can post your own rankings if you would like, but let's just discuss either mine or layne's and how you would change it, such as in mine slave said that i should change wild and zeth, now is that because you think zeth could beat wild or because you think zeth is just a better player in general?

zeth is a better player. just that. he has taken higher more consistently. wild should be on there but somewhere like eighth. or seventh. so alternate those two and post that list. see if everyone agrees.

i like your list staz! my only question would be, what made you decide to put PC above Lada?
