I'm interested in Balanced Brawl
As Doom kept bringing up the changes are so slight - but to be honest, that's the part that attracts me the most. Part of me wants to help them with it, another part makes me want to continue on making my own.
However hearing that Doom Ether and others are making one (idk if it was a joke) just turns me off of the idea even more. With all of the codes going public and everyone coding them for their own good, the Workshop is going to be flooded with tons of different sets - so many that it will be impossible for a single one to reign supreme. There are too many different angles to the situation.
For Brawl Balanced I'm surprised they didn't change ROB one bit. He has two huge weaknesses that will keep him from being as good as the other great characters, which they are aiming for. Just two tiny changes - shorten (or remove) his immobility while activating his upB and make him fall slightly faster. Neither even change the speed damage or kb of attacks, but the two together completely change the character. The smallest changes can go a long way.
The only two things I don't agree with Balanced Brawl are no physics changes (some characters jump and fall speed could be changed in rare occasions such as the ROB suggestion I just said), and the effort they are putting into making plenty of stages viable is absolutely awful.
Lol I love how the ToS thread is almost like a mini social room in the Atl North Social Room. So much NJ love recently
Edit:
Forgot to add, some of their codes are a little meh - mainly with how uthrows are affected when changing dthrows, messing up uthrows for Falco, DDD, and Pikachu. If they can't get the code 100%, leave it out until it is perfect.
