I work at my local arcade. I think I'll be getting plenty of experience. ;)

Thanks for the tips guys. So are Blanka and Gouken legit? Or is Gouken a lost cause?

Gouken is ok, most console characters are pretty **** though.

Unless you play like Justin Wong or spend alot of time on them.

Blanka is good, not top, but he's good.

Blanka has almost zero ability to really hurt a person if they mess up. What he does well is being tricky. He's the most @#$! tricky character alive. You must get into the player's heads and really cause them to make bad decisions.

I hate him. I hate him so much :(

Blanka has a pretty solid set of normals too. Gotta love df+HP. Just rock that one if they ever throw a fireball closer than 3/4 of a screen away.

Too many potential mains.
I'd kill to play Dudley and Ibuki again. <3

Different supers/ultras will make Akuma soooooo much more viable. Bring back Messatsu Gohadoken.

That being said, I'm getting some good rhythm with Blanka, and more people get frustrated and rage after playing against me. Screaming "bullsh*t rolling" "godd*mn electricity" and "f*cking chip damage" Apparantly that means I'm doing it right. =D

Akuma's ultra is viable, you can full screen it if you're good enough.

Too many Blanka mains popping up, I hate Blanka lol.

Apparently Ibuki will be in the next accounced characters Vermy. Also I'm gonna lol Billy when Dudley doesn't get called haha.

so far all prediction have been right on the character list

* The previously leaked characters are all said to be in the game. Dee Jay, T. Hawk, Dudley, Ibuki, Makoto, Adon, Cody and Guy. The new characters are rumored to be:
o Hakan - An Arabic grappler obsessed with oil.
o Juri - Evil Asian girl fighter working for Seth.
* All characters will have two Ultras. They will both be available at one time, not selectable like with Third Strike's Super Arts. The commands to execute your Ultras do not overlap.
o It sounds like the characters from Third Strike are set up with their prior Super Arts. They had three in that game, so one will be their Super and the other two their Ultras.
o Gen has four Ultras because of his two fighting styles. One of these is said to be an Air Ultra.
o All characters still have one Super, except Sakura who apparently has a Shinkuu Hadoken (Super Fireball) as well.
* Some characters will have Air Ultras.
* The Bonus Stages will be returning.
* This will be an exclusive arcade release at least for a few months.
* An official announcement is said to be coming at the Tokyo Game Show and on the Japanese Street Fighter 4 blog soon.
* Expect the return of the many familiar Supers, and a few new ones like Metsu Shoryuken. You'll see the return of Chun-Li's Kikosho (Super Fireball), Gouken's Denjin, Sagat's Tiger Cannon (Super Fireball).
* Ibuki has a run command.
* Guile has his Sonic Hurricane move from Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
* Dudley has his Chain combos from Third Strike, plus one additional Chain combo.
* Cody is the only character with an Alpha Counter and he still has his knife. He supposedly needs his knife to perform one of his Ultras.
* Rufus can cancel-break the last hit of his Spectacle Romance, or the launch kick of Space Opera Symphony.
* Guy has his Chain combos.
* Makoto has her Tanden Renki Super from Third Strike.
* Zangief is said to have a 720 degree motion Air Ultra called the Siberian Blizzard.
* The game takes place one year after Street Fighter 4.
* Dudley was searching for his car in Third Strike, in this game he's searching for a rose.
* T. Hawk's storyline involves him protecting Juni or Juli.
* Dhalsim's new Ultra is called the Yoga Shangri'la.
* There's a new gameplay system called Tadan Saving, the phrase implies a multi-hitting or multiple-level Focus Attack.
* The console characters are all said to be added to the upcoming arcade release, with the possible exceptions of Seth and Gouken.

These post was originally done in September before T Hawk Juri and Deejay where announced so im sticking with it

If Makoto has her Tanden Renki for a super i'm going to cry, seriously it's the most useless move ever =/
Would you rather it was an ultra? I'd prefer her useful damage combos be ultras so I'd be able to use EX for whatever, rather than needing super.

Only useful supers in the game are Shinku Hadoken and Yoga Inferno. Every other chara should be using EX moves.

I'll cry even more if it's her ultra, it's not a useful damage combo due to the fact that if you're opponent knows what they are doing they will just block it until an opening comes up, then go to town on you

It's only bad because you're still losing to scrubs.

When you start getting beat by real pros, and even starting to get rounds off them, then you know you're playing the real game.

I don't lose to scrubs, the biggest scene is in Melbourne remember and watching the finals for SF4 is sad due to the playstyle being consisted of projectile spamming

I like hondas super.

Mainly because it combos from far standing HP and cr.HP (which is a long range low) for about...540 dmg.

Lol Unreon.

The scene may be bigger in Melbourne, but I bet there's alot more people out there who pick Ken and spam shoryuken.

Play me online and we'll see how you go lol. (Not that I like playing online, god**** silly wifi.)

Iso - Yeah, there's always gonna be a use for supers in some wierd point in a match, but considering how powerful Honda's EX headbutt is, along with EX Slam and EX Ochi, it's better to use it for EX rather than super.

His EX headbutt does like what, 160? And you can hit it off a simple jump in. Easy mode imo.

I played ken when I first started, hoping he was like his 3S counterpart, with a decent Ultra. Alas, I was wrong.
Went straight to Akuma and Blanka after that. I like Cammy too, and still don't understand why she's considered so bad. =/

Easy to block moves, all her moves are generally slow.

Ultra is okayish.

Only real good thing is her aerial drill cannon and that needs bars. ALOT of bars.

Gen needs his super for the absurd damage super > ultra does, as well. His EX moves are fairly useless, as well. His only other use for it is FADCing hands into more hands, which also works on the 'huge damage' side of things.

Pfft sieg, you know all the bison love is right here with me.

And also, you're right about EX headbutt and buttslam, they're great, one of the things I don't like about Bison is how his EX crusher/scissor are unsafe on block. -_-

I swear everyone in Sydney uses Balrog. And I mean it. At any one point you can easily have five "THERE'S NO ESCAPE!" and "TIME TO GET PAID!" going on in chorus.

I hate playing against all charge characters ><

Beat a really good Abel player at work. SOB landed an elbow>Ultra. That sh*t is nasty.

EX for Blanka > Blanka Super? I've been torn here, EX forward roll is good for projectile spammers, EX vert roll has massive range, but I haven't found any practical use for EX backstep roll. Halp frum my Green brothers?

QLD used to be Balrog country.

Now it's high tier country lol.

I versed Hai the other day at TZ on the weekend. His Abel is amazing.

He hit like 4 cr.HP to roll. It was like, cr.HP, Roll, cr.HP, Roll, cr.HP, Roll, cr.HP. Like, you don't know whether he's going to roll behind or roll infront, so it really ****s you up, and then he just links it into Ultra etc.

Backstep is probably the best EX bar to use with Blanky Blanks. But mainly it's using Rainbow Ball? I think it's Rainbow Ball. The one that goes high. It's good for getting out of stuff and capping anyone who tries to jump in. Hit them with that once, and they'll think twice about jumping in, which will give Blanka the advantage since he has much more mobility on the ground.

Also I hit an EX Upper Cancelled into Ultra on the weekend. **** was sooooo amazing.

The arcade.

Ask people who play well lol.

But yeah, Shoryuken is probably the best place. The character specific forums there are amazing.

Also learning how to QC chara so I can play Juri lol. Might play Ibuki if she gets called up aswell, but I'll never turn my back on the big old Boxer.

I think the thing that is going to make Juri good is gonna be her wierd *** teleport. So much better than everyone elses.
