um first of all, i've been a bit busy at other sites, but I just want to know when did this explode cause I would love to go back to the start of when you found out.
Just saw his Debut trailer. Sonic looks like a sick character.
I just love it how Mario runs up a hill then Sonic Comes out of nowhere and knocks Mario off. I knew Sakurai would do something with Mario and Sonic. Better than what I had in mind. lol.
But yeah he looks great, and i've managed to calm down now. I got over excited about an 2 hours ago, but now i've calm down.
It's an awesome debut and I can't wait. Now I hope we see.......... Megaman join the fray.
I also heard of the delay. Here's something I was throwing out there, didn't mean to think of it, but I was thinking what if the delay came because of Sonic.
Now anyway, I guess the arguments will stop and it wont mean anything anymore. Because he's confirmed, so people saying he's not going to get in means nothing now.
Also I realise I was bragging, and I don't care if people hate Sonic. I reckon his moveset is awesome from that trailer and I reckon they should give him a go, just like Snake. He could be better then we all expected.

can you ask him/her explicitly next time? sorry for usin the sonic thread for this guys im desperate.I haven't heard anything about Mega Man, sorry.But my contact said that Peach's character model changed a lot before they decided to show her at the Dojo. She was more "adult" in the early development stages.
the ONLY dissapointment to me about the sonic update was the newer sonic music they used. I like the old school green hill zone and casino nights music better. but im sure with all the vast composers they'll have a little of the classic stuff as well

It's a happy day for me. I've been supporting Sonic for a long time and he's finally in the game.
I couldn't believe what I just saw this morning..
I woke up, did something else for 30 min, and didn't care about the update, and when I checked.. OMG!!! just... sonic for brawl.. o_o I didn't even know if he was ever gonna be in brawl, but he was.. hmm.. now konami has joined the game AND sega.. just awesome..

omfg Sonic confirmed in Brawl, the internetz is explodingz.
Really though, he looks incredibly fun to play. If he's top tier I'm going to be so happy. Although, that doesn't change the fact that Lucas and Ness will **** Sonic anyday.

I watched the movie abput 10 times cause i couldn't believe it! But he is...Sonic is in Brawl!
But there are 2 things i think about......
1. Will he be HighTier? He looks very strong in the movie but we don't know how strong the others will be.
2. Will there also come Shadow? I think there are very similar Charakters perhaps it will be like in ssbm like fox and falco.....?
Now i only hope for Viewtiful Joe! But for now LIVE & LEARN

I am very very happy.
Lots of respect to BlueWave too, for getting all this right and riding out the storm of scepticism. I almost want to believe the info about the starting roster too, but I'm still unconvinced that Tom Nook is going to be in the game.
Guess I'll wait and see.

Yah i can see shadow as an alternate costume but i hope not as a character, this is awsome to see sonic in brawl but lets also think i wonder who our next 3rd party character will be, lets vote for Megaman! or Zero!

I'm just hangin' on Lloyd at the mo. now that Sonic's in, I don't mind who the next 3rd party character is. However, if Lloyd is considered 3rd party, then I must say GO LLOYD!!!

I don't mind this being my first post here on the Smashboards...
Holy cow.
Sonic's confirmation really did crash the internet... it took me a lot of loading a reloading to get to this page...
But, seriously, I'm pumped; he looks top tier or at least high up, so he'll be tons of fun to use. And Super Sonic as his Brawl move? Well, that was more or less expected, but it was still awesome.

being honest, after watching the video, I thought to myself. this game has the best graphics that I've seen in a long time, on any console. and if that's the case, why can't we get the same liberty for Soul Calibur 4 and other games we were force away from?
I wouldn't mind as much if we got SC4 for the wii a year later, like the dragon ball z games, but I feel even worse if we're getting games which, apparently, have little substance to them compared to the ps3 and xbox 360 counter parts

When my mind first saw the update I couldn't help but think that I was in the Photoshoped Character thread, and this one was really good. This game is going to be amazing, not that it wasn't before, but this only adds to it.

Can't believe he released him so early.
Know everyone knew that Sonic was going to be in Brawl, but he definently should not have released him as a new character. I have a strong feeling we are going to know everything about the game before it comes out. Despite everyone knowing he's the character that people would be dancing over as he appeared on the "challenger approaching" screen. The whole anticipation for Sonic for me has been cut short. Way to soon to release him. Actually he shouldn't have been released in my opinion though. Don't take me wrong though I'm thrilled that he's confirmed, just I'd rather have seen him appear in the game first.
