You're wrong. the Villager in Smash is based on the concept of the playable character in Animal Crossing. Which has been in every Animal Crossing game. Including female versions.

The concept of the Villager isn't based on the playable character - there is no "the" playable character in Animal Crossing. You can't even say the Villager's concept is based on portraying the "you" in Animal Crossing - it's based on encompassing every one.

That might be a bit too philosophical for you to understand, person I've never spoken to before, but think of it this way: if we get the default red shirt brown haired Mii as its own character in Smash, it's not based on a Mii of yours, it's more like it's based on a theoretical Mii of "ours," if you will.
