Let’s be honest. No that we have the game (sort of) speculation is over. Now, I feel that according to this thread, I should vent everything I have to vent out. There are many things I personally do not like in terms of the decisions made in this game. Trust me when I say I will love this game and play it for countless hours, but so many things bother me and I think this is the right place to vent it all out.
Here I go! :
1. Random Slipping
2. Lack of stock matches in With Anyone play (so I've heard, not exactly sure, please correct me if I’m wrong)
3. Only 35 characters
4. No legit alternate costumes except for Wario (Fusion Suit Samus isn't even done correctly)
5. Lack of Mario Galaxy related stuff (though it's understandable by the release date)
6. A rather short single player story mode
7. A story mode that is very repetitive
8. Lack of "Board the Platforms"
9. Removal of Mewtwo (why? isn't Lucario rather different?)
10. Only 41 event matches (for 1 player)
11. Only 21 co-op event matches
12. Physics glitches (like Gigalypuff and Snake's cypher grab)
13. Constant arguing over stage legality (towards the forums)
14. Constant arguing over item legality (towards the forums)
15. Despite actually having Smash 64 stages (Corneria and Brinstar were actually in Smash 64 (just made more graphically appealing in Melee) for those morons who keep saying there were no stages from there), not having other great ones like Saffron City
16. Ridley not playable (deserves his own number)
17. Isaac not playable (also deserves his won number)
18. Krystal, King K. Rool, more 3rd party characters, and a whole host of others not playable
19. Ganondorf not having a move set more dedicated to him, aka sword and energy beams.
20. No Bowser’s castle stage
21. Character-to-stage ratio – (excluding returning stages) The Mario franchise has 4 characters and 5 stages. That makes sense. But the Metroid franchise has 1.5 characters and 2 stages, and Fire emblem has 2 characters and 1 stage. R.O.B. doesn’t even have his won stages, as PictoChat doesn’t count due to different logos. Including returning stages, and the proportion is blown out even further. I believe every character has to have their own “home court”, meaning at least a 1:1:1 ratio of characters to stages to franchises.
I could think of many more, but I guess I'm just a little slow today. All in all, this will be a friggin amazing game, but there are those little quirks that will annoy me anyway. And don't hate me becuase of my opinions on what went wrong with this game. I'm sure that there isn't a singe person in the world who finds the game 100% devoid of issues, and at least 1 person who can agree with each of my statements.
