Smash G 0 D's:
I had an older sister and two older cousins when I was born. My cousins were are the age of 8 and my sister was 9. She had a Nintendo 64. One game she played with my cousins was.... yep, you gessed it. Super Smash Bros!
I would watch them for long times and eventually I learned to play myself. Along with me, my brother also learned how to play. We played with each other.. alot. I am not sure, but I believe my best characters were Link/Fox or someone. I don't remember, I must have been like 5.
I am probably best known for my Luigi skills. Are you wondering how I became good with Luigi? I'm not telling you yet
I barely played Luigi in the first game.
In first grade, I met my current best friend. His name is Eric. Currently he lives in Arizona, but we keep in touch. We had sleepovers very often, atleast 30 or 40 by now. We would stay up at night and play video games. I believe on my 7/8th birthday, near the end of 2nd grade or something, I got a Gamecube and Super Smash Bros. Melee and another controller. My brother and I played alot that day. I first played Smash at a Toys "R" Us demo, using Ice Climbers (my first melee character to play with!!). Naturally, when I owned the game I used Link. My brother tested characters out. We worked on unlocking characters, I remember discussing how to get Mewtwo with Eric and my other friend Ramsey in 3rd grade. When I unlocked Luigi, I believe shortly after my birthday, I tried him out.
THE REASON I MAIN LUIGI: My sister inspired me. Yes, in Super Smash Bros., she mained Luigi. I tried him out and liked him. Back then, I did everything my sister did, so that explains why I used him.
One sleepover with Eric, he kept kicking my butt with Marth. He used white Marth, or "Angel" Marth as he called him. He inspired me, so I picked up Marth. Eventually I could beat him when he was anyone else, he would beat me in Marth dittos though.
After 3rd grade, I moved to a GT school instead of my old one. I made new friends who happened to play Smash. We played some and I kicked their butts real bad.. In 5/6th grade on kid thought he was super amazing and could kill me. I 3 stocked him at a birthday party in the future.
A little more than a year ago, when I was in 6th grade, I was browsing the Nintendo Forums. I came upon a discussion of Smash and checked it out. My Nintendo Forums username is still: Luigimastar. Someone brought up a website called "smashboards.com". I checked it out. I made an account, trying different variations for "Smash God". I eventually found that "Smash G 0 D" wasn't taken. One of the first places I had posted was the BOMB4 thread. I was introduced to many good players, spammers, and good posting too. This was the time that my little brother, who had long before decided to use Sheik, made the name "sheikij"... He didn't know how to post and made a 6x post..
I went to BOMB4, got double eliminated in teams, then left before singles. Of course, I did meet Skylink... and 1 stocked his YL with Marth.
I knew there was something in my game that I was missing. I studied AlphaZealot's "All Terms" stuff sticky in Melee discussion. I got involved with the Luigi boards, Marth boards, and other boards. Eventually I was let in to TA by KM.
I learned and learned and learned and watched lots of Ken/Kizzu/Husband/other Marth videos and developed my own Luigi without help. My Marth does seem more of a standard MArth, while my Luigi differs from most Luigi players. Luckily enough, my Luigi style works. I first learned mindgames with Luigi, then Marth. I eventually picked up Fox, but mine wasn't very technical. Then Falco, who had pretty good mindgames. Of course, now I can easily waveshine with both of them and SHL or whatever technical points I need.
One day, I was browsing the Atlantic North boards and saw... "TNR Recruitment Page". Ooohhh. I PMed ChozenOne and was accepted into TNR. After that, I went to August Nod3. I placed 13th in singles, knocked out my CK, and 5th in teams, knocked out my Boohoohoom (Aho+EGY5(who we were beat by twice in teams)). After this, I was put as 2nd in the TNR Power Rankings.
And now, here I am, posting my history. And of course, we can't forget my motto-
LUIGI FTW
