NWC: Gaming Convention May 20-21st

Alright so going to Dani's isn't going to work so just meet at HCC at 11. We will hold gameday in the student center. We will pretty much have the whole building to ourselves. Please try to bring setups people. We have like 2 projectors, 1 laggy LCD, 1 decent sized CRT, and a tiny 20 inch. I will try to bring my wii and maybe monster hunter.

Waffle could you bring brawl+, preferably one of the earlier hacks?

I will text tim to bring his PS2. Unfortunately the school xbox isn't back from repairs yet.

We are going to meet at HCC again this time at 9:30 with intents to leave by 9:45 if not earlier. Our gps still have the directions to Circuit City on them so if you want to meet us there at like 10:15-10:25. Roberto said he couldn't make it so you wouldn't have to pick him up.

Hope everyone had a good time at gameday. I was suprised at how many people showed up considering it is summer.

The school Xbox is finally back. I just can't find all the controllers and power cord.

Hope you all can make it to the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Mario Kart wii tournament.

Will start registration at 11. Tournament will begin at 12. If you can bring setups that would be great. We need some Wii with complete mario kart data and 360's with the lan cables.

I also need to talk to bionic again about getting hacks for complete data.

COD will use default settings with FFA and 2vs2. NO thermal scopes.

I am still working on things. Maybe make a post in the light house to get their suggestion. Bring friends and family.

Better to get a savegame of both games and install it with Savegame Manager with Bannerbomb though.

I'll see what i can do. I probably can make it and if i can, i can bring a wii and 360 and the games (though i don't understand how to input the code but monstar can just do it then) but my tv lags too much for either game probably so i am not gonna bring it. Will there be anything else going on off to the side? (ie: brawl or brawl+ or project M?) Not tourny just friendlies of course. Would you like me to ask denny/duncan if they want to do the CoD tourny?

depends which version of b+ youre on, zelda's upsmash has been changed in nearly every version, also if you're doing it to cpu's its prolly cus they dont di. di is not only for living in that game, its for dodging combos.

I don't have brawl+ myself. This is just what i observed from the tourny a week or two ago though i didn't know her up smash has been changed so much. That was against matt, brett and chris so it wasn't just cuz of no di. Pretty sure it was a fairly early version of brawl+

You can DI the attack but it seems that if the Zelda is smart they can tech chase you.

Well that was a little bit fail as to how there was no tourny but it was still fun just hanging out. For those that weren't there, not enough people showed up for the CoD and Mariokart Wii Tournament. Only Brett, Matt, Becca and myself were there. And that teacher dude that had to oversee it. He seems cool though.

I am going to a barbecue this weekend so I won't be able to make it to Harrisburg but if you guys can go without me. There is no other Brawl tournament in MD/VA so I think Waffle is going to ride up with ATHF.

Anyway Shippo, I got brawl+ for you. Just remember to delete all of your created stages. It should load into gecko first. Then just go from that menu it will load up brawl+. After that you can take the SD card out.

I just wanted to let you all know that there is a tournament on July 10th that we can go to. It is a bit cheaper than the harrisburg tournament and not too far away. It is up in Westminster, MD.

So if you would like to go let me know and we can setup a carpool to the event.

I told Brett that we should be leaving by ten. It is only an hour and 7 minutes away. Hopefully we won't hit traffic though I don't think we will.

So meet at HCC around 9:45. It may be a good idea to have GPS ready and mapquest printed out before hand. The total cost for the event in only 13 dollars. Much cheaper than harrisburg.

If you're coming to the humongous event in baltimore next week, you'll be glad you got the cheap training! From where you all are coming from, it should be easy. GPS could take you various ways, the way I would recommend is:

take 70 east to MD 75 north towards liberty town. Take it all the way till you get to the awkward stoplight intersection with MD26. Turn right on 26, then less than half a mile down turn left onto MD31. take that straight all the way here (when you get to new windsor, you have to make a right to stay on 31) and it goes all the way to long valley road, which is on the left. Go down long valley for a half mile or so and turn right on winged foot which is where my house is.

It was a fun event. I really liked the neighborhood. It was a little crowded and hot. I don't see what the big deal about brawl- is.

Seagull wants us to go to Eldersburg tournament this weekend. He says it isn't too far. It is a little bit cheaper than harrisburg which is also going on this weekend. I won't be able to make it this weekend so it is really up to you guys.

Harrisburg is a bit further than Eburg. Eldersburg won't be nearly as cheap as my tournament (10-13 vs 30) but Harrisburg is about the most expensive event around.

I think the harrisburg one will be pretty small this month though.

We got the date for the convention so anyone that would like to help let me know. The gaming club will be forming comittees in order to work on whatever needs to be done to make the convention a success.

Also don't forget the invitational is August 21st it isn't that far off. So we need to seriously sit down and practice.

Man I haven't been updating this like I should. We need to do more brawl tournaments. This semester we should have the brawl tournament on Saturday instead of trying it on Friday. Also we need to do a lot better about advertising our events. Part of it was my fault, the other part was lack of help.

Also I would like to go to more tournaments this year so keep me posted Tant and Damon.
