He went Fox against me in Winner's Bracket, and then actually went Falcon in Loser's. Close, but no cigar! =PGood point. Overall attendance was slightly higher with dedicated Brawl and SSB64 tournaments.

I was in WA over the weekend which had a pm only tourny; some 30 ppl turned up. Revival of ausGood point. Overall attendance was slightly higher with dedicated Brawl and SSB64 tournaments.

That would be Phrase. He's from Brisbane. I don't remember his real name, though. One of the QLD guys/he would know.Turnout was pretty ****ing awesome for this one. Good job everyone. Special thanks to Zxv and Cal (and Gords?) for providing TO/venue/CRT services.
Shoutouts to Scabe for putting up with me in doubles, Smoking Puppy for destroying me in friendlies, Matt 1&2 for being cool guys, RJ for destroying me in friendlies, Paul for being a cool guy, Unny for destroying me in bracket, yeah I could just go on.
Lunch was amazing. Worth the whole tourney imo.
edit: Oh yeah, guy with the DT 990 Pro headphones, what was your name and what was your game?
man Gerards Falcon was getting off thoughGerard put your poo Falcon away, at least Marth surely? Who did Ted use to beat ZXV?
Thanks for coming out and welcome to the scene! It was the first smash tournament I've been to, and it was so great! Didn't even mind being terrible, not really knowing anything about the game and losing to everyone, watching you guys play is super exciting.
No worries. I'm hoping to attend future events, uni allowing. Thanks for coming out and welcome to the scene!
Look for CRT's in op shops (Salvo's, Vinnies, etc). I went to one recently and saw one for $30 (small-medium size). No worries. I'm hoping to attend future events, uni allowing.
Btw guys, I'm looking for a smallish crt i can have/buy in western sydney so I can actually play some smash.
Lol, I'd like to think my Falcon is a lot better these days, where as Marth is now my trash character. Plus, I've been practicing my off-stage Falcon Punches and I don't want that precious training to go to waste.Gerard put your poo Falcon away, at least Marth surely? Who did Ted use to beat ZXV?
I always tell new players that the absolute fastest way to improve is to go to tournaments. The raw experience you gain from playing a variety of new people is by far the best for getting better quickly.I hope to perform better next time I go. I did make progress from last time where I came dead last in everything but I want to further myself as much as I can. I Iook forward to next time!
Your Marth movement dude <3I had such an amazing time. Ted and zxv, you guys are awesome and your sets were super fun to watch.
Thanks Gords for housing and giving me some nice practice games!
Thanks everyone I played friendlies with. Learned a lot over the weekend
10/10 would fly down again
EDIT: That zxv turnip recovery...
Not if I take you out with Marth firstRJ I'm coming after you next tournament. With no Smoking Puppy to stop me I have laser sights on you >:D
Nono, we played friendlies (melee) on one of the tiny TV's. I played as Marth then Captain Falcon, and asked "How do you approach Marth as Falcon?" and you answered "You can't. I read something Dr PeePee wrote" etc etc. You then asked if I'd heard about a game you developed. What was that game?@ FinXx Who were you? Falco player? We played project m at one point because there were no free melee setups?
