haha good point.. i played against a small number of people with no lag in my history of wifi. i mostly benefit from seeing how the characters are played. i really havnt watched many videos or matchs

I can't seem to change my avatar...i found a picture, made it 100x100 less than 50kb and i browse, then select it, click save change, it shows the image in the little box just above the submit button...but it never actually changes my avatar. im stuck as Lucario :/

can anyone tell me what im missing? Lythium? you change your avatar every week, do you know why this is happening?

man, i hate typing a post a second time. i hit back by mistake..

Its not animated, just a random pic i found from the net. I saved it on my computer, edited it to be 100x100. It was a .png so i tried that first. then i tried .gif .jpg and .bmp.

at which point in this process is it supposed to change my avatar. im going into edit profile pic, clicking browse, selecting my file, then i click save changes. is that when its supposed to update? when i click that button it reloads the page with no error, shows me the same screen i was just at and it just shows my new image above the browse button with a check box next to it if i want to 'delete this image' but at the top of the screen i still see lucario

Oh, I see. You want to change your avatar, not your profile pic. Here's a shortcut:

If you're using the Revolution skin, you can also get there by clicking your picture of your avi at the top of the page, or go to User CP > Settings & Options > Edit Avatar.

You were changing your profile pic, which shows up on your profile page.

^ This. I went in and posted a few times but quickly realized that everyone there debated by straw-manning and completely making crap up. Plus it was the most opinionated debate I've ever been in, and everyone was 100% convinced that their opinion was fact.

Short answer is after my testing periods, it seemed like 9 got a lot better results. 4 strikes mean you get a lot more flexibility and variety, since you can strike more based on personal preference, not so much the match-up.

5 is obviously the current standard for East Coast US.

At any rate, I think the main problem with 7 is that it doesn't go FAR enough, and the two extra stages just usually get ignored.

Thus, I recommend 9.

I didn't mention this on FB, but Golden Sun is a pretty niche RPG, even among Nintendo Fanboys... so don't hate me for not playing it!

I will hate you for not playing it, and I will be entirely justified in doing so. Jordan (and I think Christian) will back me up 100% on this.

You're off my Christmas card list until you play it to the end. You don't have to play both of them, but you have to play one of them.

Golden Sun IS a cult RPG, I will grant you that, but you're really doing yourself an injustice having not played it. Do yourself a favor and give it an honest shot before Dark Dawn this Christmas.

Also, if you're only going to pick one, you should probably play the first one. The story makes more sense that way, though the gameplay is SOMEWHAT inferior to the sequel. However, the first feels much more structured and better put together.

Christian played the Lost Age first, then the original, and he mentioned to me that he felt like he was playing the bad guys' story when he played GS1. I looked at him and went, "BUHHHH!????!" It's super bizarre.

If you give it an honest try, knowing your tastes, and I'm WRONG about my feelings that you'll love it, I will admit a failure as a gamer. Having seen your game collection though, you really MUST TRY IT. The plot exposition at the start is indeed a bit slow, but as soon as you're out of Vale and get Ivan, **** picks up pretty quickly.
