Im in the Manchester area (in Eccles), is anyone having any sort of "warm ups" before sunday? Im likely to get caned pretty quickly anyway, but thats ok.

Sure, Im free then. Just been brushing up a bit, had to get used to the GC controller again as ive been playing Brawl on the classic controller. Im officially blaming any embarrassing suicides on the pad! (he says as he throws himself off the ledge after another mistimed spike)

I think im gonna be making Pit my char. He may not be godly but he's cool.

This would be my 1st time at a competitive thing as well, apart from a random Power Stone competition from way back in the day...

Hehe i keep flip flopping between Ike and Pit, those are my fav chars. Ike's just a tad slow for me tho, and i like Pit and his reflects. Kinda creates a psychological thing with projectile users...

Hey ryan where were you today me and aiko and a couple of my friends were playing today in HMV.

Me, Kosmoco and a couple of his mates played today in Gamerbase, tested one of the TV's today which worked dandy.

We will have 3 setups for Sunday and about 16-20 entrants... possibly more >.>

Extra spots are for those unexpected people/friends who may be coming.
I have tried to separate friends and crewmates where possible.

Because the pools are quite big, and we have limited time, it will only be top 2 who go through to a 8 man double elimination bracket.

All matches are best of 3 except for winners, losers and grand finals, where they are all best of 5.

If we have time for friendlies, since we are limited on setups, friendlies will be strictly winner stays on, maximum 3 wins. If you want to use a setup for a money match, please tell me first.

I'm also fine tuning the stages list and stage banning. will let you know of any changes.

Some extra stuff - venue will be £5, bringing a total of £10 for the whole day if you enter both singles and doubles. If doubles doesnt happen, for whatever reason, you will be refunded the entry fee.

Any extra money from the venue will be contributed towards the prize pool, and towards awards in the way of gamerbase membership credit.

Im resisting the urge to practise too much against level 9 CPU's. On the one hand they have psychic levels of dodge/shield/grabbing but on the other hand theyre very thick when it comes to edge guarding and the like. Anyone here fancy a few friendlies online? (not that lag is very helpful, but its just for ****s and giggles)
