NJ Sauce Power Rankings: New season!

Alright, the season just started, so there isn't much to say yet. Currently our top contenders are:

Marinara
Vodka
Alfredo

Alfredo inarguably has the highest consistency of the three. It's thick and creamy, yet only is super delicious on fettucini. Vodka sauce has the best record, complementing basically every type of pasta amazingly well. Marinara is kinda slipping up recently but still has skill. Other contenders to consider are tomato and basil and cheese sauce.

Let the debating begin! Things will obviously start to heat up after the first few tournaments, but there's some good material to start with.

Things to consider: How the sauce tastes with other additives, such as parmesan cheese; how the sauce tastes on its own; how the sauce performs with non-broken partners (aka not pasta) such as bread.

I'd like to bring up Lobster Bisque as a sauce. Its texture rivals that of Alfredo, and has lobster in it. Also, I resent your biased nature towards Vodka sauce, as you blatantly displayed in the NJ Rankings thread!

Lobster bisque also has a GDLK static partner of lobster, which is a popular export of my current state of residence, Maine. I cannot argue for lobster bisque without a high degree of regional bias, I will leave this to the rest of the panel.

Ether, while Alfredo has a much higher consistency, I believe that its natural talent is inferior to vodka sauce. However, vodka sauce DID have to pick that broken alcohol character to tap into its full potential.

FOOL! Have you SEEN marinara's poor tournament dominance lately? I don't even see how it's arguable that marinara is below the other two. They're super top god players with multiple ingredients and are great with any partner.

Vodka sauce is an Italian red sauce made from a relatively smooth tomato sauce, plus cream, vodka, and typical Italian herbs. It gained popularity in the 1970s, when a variation won a national recipe contest in Italy. In comparison, Marinara is a type of tomato sauce that originated in Naples after the Spaniards had introduced the tomato from the New World. The word marinara is derived from marinaro, which is Italian for "of the sea". Marinara might have been around for awhile, and if we were doing 20th-century Power rankings I'm sure it'd still be high, but unforunately this is a whole new style of play and a new campier world in which Vokda reigns supreme. We can't be looking at rankings from out of this season!!!

It's most definitely consistent but it's only main is fettucini. As soon as it gets counterpicked by simpler, less formal restaurants it's pretty much screwed. Until prom banquets and semi-formals are put on the "banned restaurant list", it's def not a viable contender. Maybe if it stepped up its activity?

Parmesan cheese should NOT be considered for the rankings!! Maybe if you want to have a seperaate "w/ parmesan cheese" ranking, but I know vodka sandbags so hard as soon as you put parmesan cheese on him. Stand alone flavor is all that matters when you're talking about sauce! I thought this was understood! No other state takes parmesan cheese seriously!!! WTF ARE YOU THINKINGGGGGGG

My mother's seafood sauce is better than any red sauce or cream sauce in existence besides my grandmother's vodka sauce. DugFinn tried my mom's seafood sauce. It was broken tier.

I judge based what's made by the Italian women in my family, the goddesses of the kitchen.

Marinara also does extremely well with calamari, who it partners with frequently. However, neither are particularly high up on their own.
