Seriously, You jump into my thread to promote your tourney. I'm a small place, but I guess I'm doing something right. I'll promote my tourney on yours in a couple minutes to make it fair.

Anyway, to anyone who went, how is the venue here? What kind of stores are around it as well, moreso speaking of food.:)
Venue is pretty nice, the guys from the store were cool, but it was kinda cramped in the back / gaming area, especially if they start getting more people. Pushing some of that fishing stuff back during tourneys could go a long way. I like all the taxidermy around the store. Also, 4/5 TVs being HDTVs seems bad to me, as I'm pretty sensitive to any input lag at all, but only one of the two HDTVs I tried was *very* laggy; the other was very slightly laggy.

As for food, they ordered some pizza that I thought was decent, and there's a BK and a Wendy's about 5 mins drive from there. Google Maps showed a few other local restaurants (I was hungry, ended up at Wendy's), at least one Chinese place, but I wasn't brave enough to try any.

sounds like you wouldn't come from people, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
NY Penn Station to MT Tabor exit your literally a block away. If you miss Tabor exit get off at Denville then your like 1/2 mile away.

I'm gonna have to check out w/ pit sounds like I guess. I'm clueless to what the Japanese version does, but curious. Guess I'll find out on Saturday.

NO! IT'S BAD, and ANNOYING!

Inui: Cool

Bum: Wanna team? I place well in this region, and have gotten significantly better than when you've last seen me. You can always change your mind last minute, but I think I'll be up to par.

The Japanese make pit a fallen angel.

Yes, he failed at living in paradise, he got kicked out. His voice is horrible and squeaky and NEVER spam angel's ring(not that you should anyway).

Sorry Inui, I don't keep long lists of brackets shoved up my *** so I can refer to them at soonest possible convenience to prove myself to others because I'm insecure. I'll see you on Saturday, don't worry. Cool your **** jets, jeez.

I'm just curious, because I've played you 0 times in tourny and I always make it far enough to play the other top placers, and I've never seen you in 5th place+ at anything. >_>;

If it really floats your boat so much, I placed 5th at the Gaming World before last. I lost to my brother, Umbra, in Winners, and my losers loss was so much BS that I really don't want to talk about it.

Oh, the one where none of the top players were at.

But that's only ONE event, and it was a small one.

Saying you consistently place high here is a lie.

Saying you are capable of it is overrating yourself.

Saying you have the drive to get better and see potential in yourself to place high is what you should say.

I'm just being honest here. You seem to be getting ahead of yourself lately, XD.

You know what Inui, you're absolutely right. You said that in a really honest way that's hard for me to refute. I DO perform well, and have beaten several reputable players, but on average, I place just above average. This is true, whether or not I think my placing correctly represents my skill.

You do? Besides at that one event where you lost to Umbra(not that respectable of a loss, imo, but you apparently play him a lot so stuff can happen) and then had a loss you refuse to discuss?

Who are the reputable players you have defeated in tournament sets and/or money matches? I don't mean unranked players(unless it's someone like Ryoko or a very recent Jigglymaster). I'm talking like...dmbrandon/teh_spamerer/Atomsk/Inui level, or at the very least, those ranked immediately below them like Yes!, Keitaro, and BlackWaltz. If you've beaten any of the good NY players like Snakeee, Shadow, or NinjaLink, that would also be pretty impressive and back your claim.

I am NOT trying to be a douche to you. I am NOT talking trash. I am not even bragging about myself at all.

I'm merely asking for facts to back your claims that you place high, beat good players, are skilled, etc.

You seem to be making these claims based on beating players that are not really reputable on the state level, as well as based on your own perceptions and not factual evidence.

You have to earn the right to make such claims.

You agreed with what I said, but you should have simply agreed and let it be, because you almost negated it by making "false" claims again.

Saying you have the drive to get better and see potential in yourself to place high is what you should say.

Don't say anything else yet, because it's not looking intelligent and it makes you look cocky based on nothing.

Lol, Atomsk better watch out if he pulls out wario. I learned a whole heaping junk about that matchup. Diddy Kong can chain throw him and end it with a spike off the edge. Gaurenteed.
